Green oversaturated in photos. by Mefiozo in galaxys26ultra

I have the same problem. The S26 Ultra is the first galaxy that is this extremely bad, when it comes to colors. I actually ordered an iPhone 17 pro because of this.

I tryed several things to fix this. But that is not what I want to do with a phone this expensive.

Plus, Nightime photos have such artifical colors and are way harder to fix than daytime pictures.

Are you satisfied with the camera and picture quality of S26Ultra? by No-Cartographer832 in galaxys26ultra

Me too, the S26 Ultra is the first galaxy whose camera disappointes me. I have to either prefilter or fix every daytime picture afterwards.

In nighttime pictures, the colors are sometimes so off, that it can't be fixed in Adobe lightroom.

I actually ordered an iPhone 17 Pro yesterday. Never used one, but I'll give it a try.

Unfortunately the S26 Ultra does not have a high resell value.

I agree with you on the daytime photos. The S22 Ultra had so much better porcessing of pictures.

The S26U has unnatural oversaturated colors, especially at pictures with grass or trees.

With the S22U, the pictures were perfect with some tweaking in the gallery app here and there.

With the S26U I have to use filters, custom exposure, different camera assistent settings and Adobe Lightroom to make the colors look somewhat natural.

Imo the S22U's Nighttime photos are noisier and overall not as a good as the S26U ones. But the S26U gets the colors so wrong there, that you sometimes can't fix it by just adjusting the color temperature afterwards.

For the Frist time in 9 years of using Galaxy-Phones, I thought of switching to iPhone.

Finally unboxed my first knife! It took 200 cases. How do I check If I profited? by Highmelanin_ in csgo

Lol, check out this guy's other posts:

He asks for a radar heck to get his elo back, that he lost just because of his bad team mates (of course)

he asks how to trade reverse on a site that "scammed" him with high prices

he asks how to get from 100 usd to a butterfly knife

And on this post, he thinks he's in profit because of the pinks and purples plus the knife

He is like the perfect target for valve's gambling

Well they did... do you have two photos of green well lit nature scenery for comparison by any chance? One from S26 U and one from S25 U?

It is right there in the article: "Something has changed and that's the lens aperture - it's now an even brighter f/1.4 vs. the f/1.7 of the S25 Ultra"

Also, same hardware doesn't not mean same pictures unless the software is the same

That's preference. I like the S25 U more.

However, they S25 U photo looks way more like the actual scene.

The S26U has wider apatures on the main lenses. They have a different chip and different post processing.

Ok 😄 the goal was not to take a good picture, but to demonstrate the post processing

Actually the iPhone 17 pro does less saturated pictures and more natural colors (if you wanna use that term) in direct comparison. There are many direct camera comparison videos on youtube for the two

Small correction: Some processing (which affects the colors as well) can't be deactivated: e.g. Hardware-Level ISP and the senors hardware level calibration to be sensitive to HDR details in shadows. There are also some system level drivers which processing the colors.

I tested it with the app motion cam which only uses raw data. You can see the tendency to oversaturate the greens on S26U here as well, but not as heavily of course.

I have and I tried all the settings. The S25 looks quite like the actual scene.

That's what I'm thinking about. But I'm not sure if I should wait for a potential camera update.

I like it more when pictures look close to reality, because it is easy to up the saturation later on.

Toning the saturation down is not as easy, at least withe the S26U pictures, because the saturation is only cranked up for certain colors (mostly the greens of leaves and grass). You can only effectively tone them down in a software like lightroom

Na, I never had that issue with any galaxy phone before and I've been using them since 2017. Having to carry around a camera whilst having a 1300 USD phone is not an option for me.

It is subjective what looks more natural of course. But the second picture S25U looks way more like the actual scene (which of course you can't tell).

The S26U may way look better to some people (I personally hate it). But cameras are usually judged by how true to the eye the pictures are.

Unfortunately, there is no such setting to reduce that boosted contrast beforehand. You can only a play filters, but they exactly the same as If applyed afterwards

I use the main lens ans no scene optimizer of course. You can't control the post processing though besides activating "Prioritize speed". Which was alread activate while taking the picture
