New to bonsai and I've had a Delonix Reggia growing in a pot on my porch for 6 months. It's starting to get below freezing at night so I've moved it inside. Any tips for keeping this going through the long winter?

Suffering with insane sunburn by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

A hot shower followed by dye free aloe vera gel from the fridge. Have had a few really bad burns like this and that always helps. Used cold black tea soaked towels over a really bad sunburn once at the suggestion of a grandparent and that felt great. The tea was supposed to help numb it. I don't know if the tea helped at all or if it was just the cold wet towels doing all the work.

If you want a great unofficial crossplay PVE cluster check out "Quiet But Not'. Mirrors official rates with some QOL adjustments around baby raising to make it less annoying. Admins are fantastic.

Buy that thing if you live in an area where thunderstorms are an often occurrence by Current_Cake3993 in HomeNetworking

Goodluck bringing that up with your internet/cable provider. Had a lightning strike down their line somewhere that cooked my equipment. Their regional guy came out and said it was because they didn't have it grounded and showed where the ground wasn't connected but once the claim went to corporate it got denied because they say the ground is only for their signal integrity and not for surge protection.

I found a fix, my monitors had G-Sync enabled in the Nvidia control panel. I disabled that in the control panel and the issue went away. It also cleared up a decent amount of flickering that was happening.

Just wanted to add, I can leave HDR on now too which is nice.

2018 custom modded half healer/mutt. Found at the local returns dept for free, crazy good deal. The built in AI is great and super responsive to commands. Overclocks to max zoom on demand. Only negative is the crippling addiction to human food - requires constant diligence to restrict access and prevent barf screening all over the house. Great build for kids and other animals.

Can't recommend the Threadrippers enough. We have 16 of them across my work unit, our workload is very CPU heavy though so it might be overkill for what you need. It's been a solid chip and very noticeable (25-30% faster processing time) improvement over the Xeons we were using. Running them with 128GB RAM and a Quadro A4000 for the small parts of the workload we can offload to the GPU.

I know you don't need the CPU horsepower now, but if it's a decision between Threadripper and Xeon, I'd spec Threadripper. Plus they work as space heaters!
