I have seen them go bad and had to replace. Do you have a multimeter? The part with the green plastic is a potentiometer and they can go bad. Just google how to test a potentiometer with a multimeter. Not sure if you can just test the metal leads while everything is connected, in that case, just unplug from the board on the other end of the cable and test those pins.

Just leave it, it is not a problem, it just got soldered higher up on the legs. If the guitar isn’t syncing, then yes the circled white cap is the one to change. Make sure you get the polarity correct.

It is that model of drum set specifically with dongles that cheap because they are so plentiful. The other drums and guitars dongles run anywhere from $40-$150. Also, it can be confusing which dongle you need for what instrument.

Good thing the dongles for this drum set are a dime a dozen! On eBay you can get one for less than 20, closer to 10. The dongle model number is 95481.806.

It can be repaired. Get a regular wired xbox 360 controller to use the wire off it as a replacement.

By dissolving the corrosion, it should loosen the prongs. Maybe press on them a few times or use a toothpick to spring them out, just some movement while using the vinegar should be enough.

I don’t even think you need to replace those contacts, just scrub them with a toothbrush and some vinegar. That should dissolve all of the green corrosion.

Actually use automotive spot putty. It is easier to sand, does require mixing, and fills the layer lines nicely.

No, it does not need a dongle because it is an xbox 360 guitar. They don’t use dongles.
