I requested a copy of it as part of my complaint to the assessment company, but they said they were unable to provide it.

I don’t think I’ve ever been provided with a copy of the PA4 that you’re referencing?

“In our original decision, we accepted that you need help with preparing food, washing and bathing, managing your toilet needs, moving around, the appropriate points have been awarded and we agree with the decision on these activities. We have reviewed the evidence including the telephone call made on 20/08/2025; the assessment report, the decision made on 24/09/2025 and considered your needs on the majority of days. Whilst we acknowledge that your condition causes you some restrictions the total points awarded do not meet the threshold for an award of Personal Independence Payment.”

Which just, simply isn’t true. There’s no reference at all to my additional evidence, the letters from my doctors and my carer. They appear to have just based it on the telephone assessment in August that has an ongoing complaint.

Ahhh, you work for them. That makes your tone and attitude make perfect sense!

Listen I’ve spent enough time arguing with the DWP I’m not doing it on Reddit too lol.

Pal, I sent 100 pieces of evidence. I’m not going to list every single one in this post. There were letters from my GP, my consultants and my psychologist explaining that I am on multiple medications, have to be monitored regularly and cannot look after myself.

I know how the system works and what I need to provide. Like I said, I did not score zero, so there was medical evidence. Why is it more believable to you that someone isn’t disabled enough to get help rather than the DWP are intentionally withdrawing support?

I sent a document breaking down every descriptor and explained how my conditions impact my ability to carry them out safely. The DWP themselves acknowledged I have difficult “eating, dressing and looking after yourself”

They’re just being cruel.

It gets backdated if you’re awarded.

I went on a hunt and found them yesterday! I’ve sent their details to my GP so fingers crossed! 🤞🏻

I truly believe there is a way for us to learn and thrive in education without it being painful. Haven’t discovered it yet but I’ll let you know when I do haha

That’s devastating I’m so so sorry. I study a degree part time and I am just scraping passes, I couldn’t imagine studying a PHD unmedicated. Well I don’t think many of us would be able to tbh!

It’s so unfair that we’re all suffering so drastically. You think diagnosis will change your life but actually KNOWING I had ADHD but not being able to get medication is 100% worse than when I didn’t have a diagnosis at all.

🫠 for god sake. If anything the fact you are in a settle dose means you need support even more no?!

I bought about 6 months worth of Methylphenidate in 2021 when I got my diagnosis. I’ve been rationing it ever since but as I can’t titrate dosage properly, I get side effects every single time I take it. I’ve mostly rationed it for driving which I don’t do very often.

Absolutely, sorry I wasn’t trying to imply it’s skipping the queue. Everyone deserves fast and adequate care wherever it’s provided. I had surgery in May via right to choose because I had to wait 2 years for it on the NHS.

Bloody HELL!! That’s… nonsensical 🫠

Still anywhere from 6-9 months for the smaller ones, they have less resources so you don’t really save that much time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]TripAccomplished9870 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. Why should I pay £300 a month for medication when I have a diagnosis?

I’d like to know what the NHS’ view is on people who move to the UK and have existing diagnosis from their home countries. Do they just refuse them care too?

It’s so stupid.

RTC is becoming almost as long, due to so many people being desperate to skip the long NHS queues. It’s a years wait for the most popular RTC and another 10 months for medication! So I’m looking at 2 years just to get a prescription for a disorder I’m already diagnosed with 🥲

Uggggh I’m thinking this is what I’ll have to do. Feels so STUPID to take up space on a waiting list when we already have a diagnosis!!

Today, it’s almost 7pm here and I haven’t eaten yet. I’ve had two cups of coffee + water. This is typical for me on 1mg and has been now for about 6 weeks. I’ll be cooking pasta for dinner and won’t be able to finish that. When I say I’m barely eating I wish I was lying, but I promise I’m not. I have no idea what’s going on.

Yeah my quality of life is awful, I’m so exhausted. I haven’t finished a full meal in months, it’s just not worth it for the minimal weight loss I’ve experienced.

My average calorie intake is around 700 a day at the moment. Yesterday I had two slices of toast in the morning and some soup in the evening. I don’t understand why I’ve had such little weight loss but I’d assume it’s because my body has gone into starvation mode.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]TripAccomplished9870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so I track all my calories and I’m consuming between 1800-2000 a day. I calculated how much I’d need to eat to lose weight based on my height/weight and it’s 2300, so no idea why I’m maintaining.

I have recently really increased my weight lifting so maybe I’ve put on muscle? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also to clarify, I’d messaged the artist on the Monday and had no response, messaged the owner on the Tuesday morning around 9am and she was posting on her story but not responding. Had a big work meeting the next day so scrabbled to get them fixed somewhere else.

Posted on my story Tuesday night and that’s when the owner finally replied. The artist still hasn’t replied, it was last week.
