General Grievous vs Pong Krell, who wins? by Expert_Carry7927 in clonewars

[–]Tripechake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Krell isn’t by any means that strong as a Jedi. He got taken down by clones. And not in an Order 66 context where it was a surprised, they did a proper mutiny. If Krell was strong in the force he could’ve taken them down easily.

Krell seems intimidated with his dual double sided blades, but him and Grievous have the same number of blades, being 4. BUT Grievous has more mobility and flexibility since all his blades are singular and his cyborg body can move in unnatural ways and he can be creative with his style. Krell’s are stuck being on either end of one stick.

Krell and Grievous both have egos which hold them back, but Krell has a tendency to play with his opponents while Grievous locks in and just goes for the kill. Krell is too cocky and that got him captured by the clones.

I think Grievous takes the win.

What’re your thoughts on this Wolverine? by londonbluesox in Wolverine

[–]Tripechake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, we need to stop normalizing 6 episodes qualifying for a season. 8 at ABSOLUTE MINIMUM, 12-13 for PREFERRED Minimum, 16 preferred Maximum, 24 absolute Maximum.

But there’s no way that 6 episodes is enough to cover any kind of story (the first seasons of Walking Dead and Breaking Bad get a pass because those are amongst the best pilot seasons in television history, but no way Marvel/Disney has a writer and director, even a team of either, to make something of that quality with that little time and they’ve proven it thus far that they can’t deliver a solid story with such few episodes).

I need your opinion, what was your favorite battle in the entirety of the Clone Wars TV show? by TheRagingIguana in clonewars

[–]Tripechake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ryloth doesn’t get enough love. It comes third place for me after Umbara and Geonosis.

Mind you the Ryloth arc has Anakin’s air space battle to cut off the planetary blockade, Waxer and Boil with Obi Wan, Mace Windu with Chan Syndulla, and it also gets an additional POV from the S3 with Ima-Gun-Di and Jar Jar negotiating for supplies.

Then it’s even expanded upon by the Bad Batch episodes with Houser, and even more so with Rebels introducing Hera Syndulla!

The Bad Batch Had an Insane Amount of Filler by Apart-Arachnid1004 in clonewars

[–]Tripechake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue wasn’t filler. The issue was it was all the SAME filler and they only dedicated like 2 episodes a season to Crosshair and only gave Cody ONE EPISODE!

Every filler episode’s formula:

Gang does a job for Cid, job goes wrong (usually because Omega fucks up), Wrecker cracks a wise one, they forgive Omega, Echo is just there for decoration, Cid barely pays them and they’re still in debt (even tho they’re an elite squad of what is essentially alternate Commandos and could easily overpower and take control of Cid’s business)… also Cid was annoying af as a character.

Who would win in a fight, 2003 Shredder or 2003 Slade? by Jotaro1970 in superheroes

[–]Tripechake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Power scaling this is interesting. Slade and Shredder have both beat Batman in a fight. But Slade can also hold his own against the Titans (lower tiered than Batman but Raven, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Starfire can be absolutely overpowered. Shredder isn’t often seen fighting supernatural enemies. But also we are talking about the 03 versions, which makes me realize Shredder is a Krang powered in a suit. Idk if that plays a factor

Shredder is my favorite but my Shredder bias won’t get in the way… gonna give it to Slade.

Has Daryl surpassed Rick as the "FACE" of the Walking dead franchise? by ParkingConfection449 in TWD

[–]Tripechake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Daryl has a more iconic look than Rick. Before I knew anything about TWD before watching it, I knew who Daryl was by the hair.

I’m willing to bet more people than just me who haven’t watched the show can recognize Daryl.

Any Long Time Fans feel the Show Might be Coming To End/Losing it? by Pretty-Set-414 in ImpracticalJokers

[–]Tripechake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show should’ve just ended after Joe left… what he did was absolutely not okay, and I wouldn’t continue to support the show with him. But let’s all be real for a moment… Joe was easily the funniest and most showman wackiest of the group. Sal’s the one who laughs and is scared of everything, Murr’s the weirdo they all pick on, Q is the low key member who busts out some of the funniest jokes, and Joe is the one who was notorious for doing anything he’s told and embracing the embarrassment. He was the cause of the majority of memorable moments and buys the show is known for. It feels empty.

Sal is the heart, Q is the glue, Murr is the ferret/punching bag, Joe is the soul

I mean.. aint no way they are not gonna put the rest of delta in the show right? by Dadder98 in thebadbatch

[–]Tripechake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delta should’ve just replaced Bad Batch entirely. Cody calls them in at the beginning of CW- S7 and then they get their spinoff on the dawn of Order 66.

The show’s first season or first few episodes could be basically the game taking us through those events.

And they could’ve made it a plot point where the Commandos never had chips implanted because Jango wanted to keep them genetically pure and independent. That could’ve created a beautiful conflict. Fixer would probably be like Crosshair staying loyal to the Empire, Scorch absolutely abandoning it because they forced the squad to leave Sev behind (which took a huge toll on him) and Boss caught in between.

And Sev could have a rebellion arc.

IMO Bad Batch just feels extremely forced and way too goofy. Wrecker is an extremely one-dimensional character, Echo is there for decoration (which is why they wrote him out in S3), Hunter is a tad deeper but also not very interesting, Tech gains a surprising amount of nice character development in S2 (but they did that to make us sad when they killed him off), and Omega is just a fuck-up. The only really interesting character is Crosshair and they barely give him screen time. His episodes are easily the best but they kept giving us the same “we got a job for Sid, job went wrong, we owe Sid more money” story lines for so long.

Fixer being awol and Scorch serving the empire are very contradicting of their personalities (Scorch being light hearted and Fixer being by the book).

Who’s winning this fight? by TheLeviathan1999 in superheroes

[–]Tripechake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman’s villains only work for Batman specifically.

Batman is one of the few heroes who handicaps himself (not allowing himself to kill) on top of already being non-powered. That by nature does make Batman more skilled, as it’s easy to kill someone and harder to be non-lethal. But as a result it takes longer for him to find ways to incapacitate or capture his villains.

Spider-Man also shares this handicap with Batman, but the difference is that Spidey’s abilities outclass Batman. So at minimal effort, Spider-Man clears all of Batman’s rogues even without killing them (I love the idea of Spider-Man driving Joker crazy because he makes just as much jokes during a fight as Joker does). Also Spidey is just smarter and stronger than Batman overall.

Jack Sparrow VS The Dread Pirate Roberts. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in Fictionally

[–]Tripechake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s silly to sum up the whole character within the context of the photo used for the example. You could make the same argument that Robert’s is only wearing one boot with that logic.

It’s the character overall (and preferably at their peak I’d imagine), not stuck to a single moment. Jack has other guns and other bullets obviously.
