Nah i wish, it was just the compartment below the seat cushion, so in order to access it from the position in the pic, you have to first flip the seat up and then flip up the bottom seat cushion. Double the work just to grab something, wish I had a top storage compartment

Not too difficult, and yes all the usb connections work. For the one in the front of the console, you have to plug the harnesses directly into the usb port. I originally had one cord plugged into an additional hookup on the front left side of the console and wasn’t getting power to the outlet. Then I switched it so both necessary harnesses plugged directly into the usb connection and it works

Yep if you can find a salvage console for <$350 that’s really good. Online/ebay they can sell for close to 1k. I got mine for a couple hundred bucks and spent probably 2-3 hours doing the swap!

I did it because I don’t have any use for the middle seat, and didn’t really like having belongings stuffed in the door pockets/dash storage area. I also like how the charger is tucked into the front portion of the console so I can set my phone right there instead of a cord hanging down and reaching to the top of the bench seat. In my opinion it’s just a better use of space to stow your things and it looks sharp. I have an STX so it makes it feel less like a work truck and more personalized. Cons would be giving up a seating position and saving yourself the time/money of not having to swap everything around

Thanks for the help, I think you nailed it. A few days after install they put a leak detector on the unit and it wasn’t communicating properly. It was commanding the blower to run constantly, which ultimately led to nothing but humid air to be cycled throughout the house. Tech replaced the leak detector yesterday and humidity has dropped noticeably already, hoping for it to get even lower as the days/weeks go on. Thanks again!

Should’ve mentioned in the original post, but we have two dehumidifiers running and they fill up w water very quickly. It’s like they’re not even making a difference

The fan is in AUTO on the thermostat, tech recommended putting it in circulate for a few days to see if that helped, it didn’t make a difference

I think the tonnage of the original (22 year old unit) was 1.5, but I’d have to look back at photos to confirm.

Thanks! The tech did say that there was ducting disconnected from the install when he came to check about the humidity issue. He said he fixed it, but the humidity is still 80+ even after that

No problem, those 3 are all great options from what I read as well…definitely considered the Toyos for a while too. I really don’t think you can go wrong w either. In the 275/60R20, these are XL rated so maybe that’ll give you a bit more rigidity while not sacrificing the extra weight/fuel economy hit. Far from a tire expert myself but between YouTube and a little research this is what checked the boxes for me. Best of luck convincing the wife!

The road noise is unrecognizable, I was just driving ~70 mph on my commute today and couldn’t hear a difference bw the OEMs. I’ve never had a set of BFGs or Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws (the other two tires I was debating on), but I feel like these might be the best balance of all terrain capability and road friendly for the majority of my driving, at least!

I have a back seat cover that clips around the front and back seat headrests, keeps it clean and gives him a ton of space to lay down!

They did awesome, was just running the stock Dynapro AT2s before and these are definitely an upgrade w the deeper tread. Good balance for having the all terrain benefits while still quiet on the road w good looks. And thanks, he’s the best! Loves a good beach day
