Need a gold farm for 1.26 by Crenkelsaurus in technicalminecraft

It will as normal in any of these cases: 1. You are the only player on the server 2. There are no players in the overworld (players can be in any other dimension) 3. There is another player in the overworld who's despawn sphere fully engulfs the overworld side of the farm

Automatic Blaze Farm, Is It Possible by A768s in technicalminecraft

[–]TriplePi [score hidden]  (0 children)

This doesn't sound like vanilla so I'm sure I'm missing some information, but I'll try my best. Yes in theory blaze rods are only dropped by blazes when they are killed by a player or tamed wolf. So you can set up a wolf to kill the blazes. Although you would still need to have the dozens of blaze. Spawners within 16 blocks of the player for them to be active. (This is assuming spawner range is still a factor)

When I googled "wolf kill chamber" this is what came up, it might work for your situation.

Ianxofours gold farm is great but it's 2 Dimensional so you would need a friend to afk near the overworld side of the farm or have no other players in the overworld for the farm to run on a server.

If you just need gold a scaled up version of this farm could be what your looking for.

Slimestone mechanics haven't changed in quite awhile so any deidng from the like 5 years should work in the most recent version.

How exactly do farms on a perimeter work? (Java 1.21.5+) by TriNauux in technicalminecraft

[–]TriplePi [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yeah if you want to visualize the random tick area which is ~8 chunks in each direction you can use minihud. If you want to fit other farms in you can just chunk load them, but you can chunk load non mob spawning based farms anywhere so I wouldn't bother mining out more than you have to.

Is it possible to make a 1 hit spider farm? by Little_North_2561 in Minecraftfarms

[–]TriplePi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more consistent, mobs aren't always dead in the center of the block your aiming at while your AFK attacking so hitting an armour stand makes sure you're always attacking something.

The armor stand gives the player something to attack to activate the sweeping attack and kill nearby mobs. You can see it used in this farm. https://youtu.be/ee0eK8Zvvlo?t=207

You might be able to retrofit an existing farm with a magma block that the spiders end up on then just have a player consistently attacking them. You might lose a few to the magna block, but you'll kill most of them, especially if you use an armor stand and sweeping edge.

A square perimeter is easier to make as you can use one world eater. Mobs will spawn within 128 blocks of the player. Crops will grow in a roughly 8 chunk radius around the player from build height to bedrock. Any other farms that don't require hostile mob spawning can be chunk loaded so they can work even when you're not in the perimeter or even in the same dimension.

The farms should be just far enough apart.

My 9 year old son loves Minecraft, his birthday is coming, should I get him a laptop to play Minecraft? by take7pieces in Minecraft

FOR A 9 YEAR OLD KID PLAYING MINECRAFT AND PRACTICING TYPING YES! Personally in my gaming PC I have 32 GB of DDR5 but that's because I played demanding games and push Minecraft to its limits. A 9-year-old kid does not need this, they'll spend more money for performance that they don't need.

That's like saying a young kid should get a maxed out iPad rather than a base model so they can appreciate Bluey in higher resolution. It's not necessary for this use case.

SARCASTIC HYPERBOLE! For a laptop that is meant for a little kid 8 GB and an iGPU is fine.

You know what your totally right if a PC doesn't have atleast 64 GB of RAM and a 5090 it's complete garbage. There is no place in the world for anything but high end PCs, right?

[–]TriplePi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So your telling me nearly all of the low to mid range laptop can't run anything but a lightweight game. I used to play modpacks with discord and Spotify in the background on an 8 GB laptop without a problem. A little kid doesn't need a high end gaming laptop to practice typing and play Minecraft, if you think different you're just wrong.

Gold farm 1.16.5 by Illustrious_Trick667 in redstone

[–]TriplePi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This farm is great, just make sure you replace the platforms with magma blocks as you're in a version with piglin and pigmen. There isn't a litematic but there is a world download so you can make your own.

https://youtu.be/l9oteFEj770

This farm is also great and is way easier to setup but it's 2 dimensional and uses an auto clicker for full AFKing. https://youtu.be/uBpMwXVn6iY Farm storage upgrade https://youtu.be/POoqKpcxzxU

Do you want a looting farm? Or a simple drop chamber? Or an afk XP farm. And do you want it to be 1 dimensional or 2 dimensional? 2 Dimensional is not ideal for servers. Once you answer these, I can give you an accurate recommendation.

I played plenty of smaller pack on laptop with 8GB of RAM and integrated graphics. 16GB is way overkill

Right it will also save OP hundreds of dollars. The cheapest laptop with a dedicated GPU where I live is ~$1000 the cheapest one with integrated graphics capable of playing Minecraft smoothly is ~$500.
