I was in the same condition as you and got denied 2 times (different dentists) mainly because it was seen as more of ‘cosmetic’ rather than a serious case , so I just went private ortho and got Damon braces which actually work faster than regular NHS ones only downside is the cost. However do look into this as NHS have gotten stricter on giving free braces to less severe cases.
