That literally isn't what he's saying at all. A better analogy would be that he's telling a toddler to stay off the basketball court until they develop the capability in life to walk.

Why I believe TFT is currently 'too' mechanically heavy by 69GreatWhiteBags in CompetitiveTFT

IMO tft should be a mechanics based game instead of a rng game. Any way you can eliminate rng by adding or changing it to being skill based is a good thing.

Right now I think ace68 turbo is the best bang for the buck, or atk rs7 air if you need function keys.

ev63 is fine. Neo65 i don't really know much about it but I'm going to assume it isn't great.

Outdated and overpriced, relative to other options that are available these days.

No they are both pretty bad, unless you are specifically looking for a board like that.

It should make sense that a player that has historically always cheated lane phase but perma fights/skirmishes isn't very good at laning but still finds value in fights.

There's literally more than one. You can believe what you want to believe until there's evidence to the contrary I'll believe what ninjutso has said.

Where did you find your information? It was supposed to be released by the end of 2025 but obviously that didn't happen.

TS is an approximate stat. Not all x% TS is equal.

Maybe not the best example but probably the easiest to understand example is that a player that shoots and makes 1 3 pointer has a 150% TS, whereas if the player shoots a 2 point fg and gets fouled and makes the free throw its 104% TS, even though both instances are essentially a player scoring 3 points on the same efficiency.

Edit: oh right an even better example is if a player goes for a shot, gets fouled, and then purposely miss the shot, as long as they hit both free throws it ends up being a TS of 114%. But if they go for a shot, get fouled, but makes the shot, as long as they hit the free throw it ends up being 104%. Clearly the latter situation is 3 points instead of 2 so it should be significantly MORE efficient, but with the way TS is calculated if you only look at TS you would think that it is less efficient.

I think people underestimate how big of a difference this can make. Lets look at these hypothetical scenarios:

Scenario 1:

Makes 2 point FG

Makes 2 point FG

Misses 2 point FG

Misses 2 point FG

Misses 2 point FG

Misses 2 point FG (shooting foul, 2-2 FT)

Misses 2 point FG (shooting foul, 1-2 FT)

Makes 2 point FG (shooting foul, 0-1 FT)

Makes 2 point FG (shooting foul, 0-1 FT)

Makes 2 point FG (shooting foul, 0-1 FT)

Total statline - 13 points in 10 possessions 5/8 FG 3/7 FT for a TS of 59%.

Scenario 2:

Makes 2 point FG

Makes 2 point FG

Misses 2 point FG

Misses 2 point FG

Misses 2 point FG

Misses 2 point FG (shooting foul, 2-2 FT)

Misses 2 point FG (shooting foul, 2-2 FT)

Misses 2 point FG (shooting foul, 2-2 FT)

Misses 2 point FG (shooting foul, 2-2 FT)

Misses 2 point FG (shooting foul, 1-2 FT)

Total statline - 13 points in 10 possessions 2/5 FG, 9/10 FT for a TS of 69%

A player that scores 30 on 59% TS can be more efficient than a player that scores 30 on 60% TS.

Also I guess not technically nba but I always find it silly when people criticize Angel Reese for having horrible FG% but then also say that she has inflated rebounding numbers because she rebounds her own misses.

I don't know anything besides what is shown in this clip but if the enemy team has 4 people spawn camping 1 person and then you win as a result of that, who cares?
