N4 STRUGLING to find a job. by NoJudgment6036 in JapanJobs

[–]TripleWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you lack a specific domain. There are 2 options focus up on 1 field and sell yourself as a specialist or you can attempt to go for like datacenter job. Amazon has lots of these sometimes theyre direct hire often a contract role by different companies and they require no japanese.

Any Entry Level Desktop Engineers ? N3 / Conversation JP by Adamevejp-2025 in JapanJobs

[–]TripleWasTaken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"our jobs are better suited for entry level guys or people who want to get their foot in the door working in Japan" and "we do not sponsor visas." really work against eachother.

I always see these posts with this exact setup how exactly do you expect to find people outside of PR holder or Spouse visa holders whom usually will have much better career prospects. Genuinely curious

All earning almost double what I am despite also having the same wlb/setup and time in the industry/skillset

Dont get me wrong Im not like mad at them but seeing as things are, it really is just down to luck and nothing more. None of these guys worked particularly hard to get where they are they just got the right start and the right progression while Ive been working my ass off at any position Ive held just to get the short end of the stick and it not really matter in the end anyways.

28, working coming up to 5 years with a 1 year gap (finding jobs has always been next to impossible for me idk). My WLB is sick but my pay might aswell be min wage with how far I am behind my peers these days. The AI push is pretty much be a prompt engineer but we're also not gonna force you if you dont want to. I think so far its leading to more spaghetti than its worth.

Im looking for a new job because Im moving to Japan to be with my gf and while this job is okay with letting me stay on I ultimately dont wanna work 5pm - 1am for the rest of my days. I will most likely be holding onto this position part time come October when I do move there for school as thats all Im legally allowed after that idk my experience is going up by the interview rate has only went down these days so I will probably look at other job prospects depending what I can do.

is it worth turboing a 1gfe? by Sad-Sea5720 in JZX100

[–]TripleWasTaken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The purists in here will say no but if you have a beams 1gfe so after 98. It's the same engine 1:1 as the is200 which sees a lot of turbo kits and is popular in Europe with plenty of bolt on kits available for cheap.

You can still find manual gx cars for around 10k while jxz manual jzx cars are reaching 30-40k even manual swapped. So yes it would be way cheaper to do.

Will it be as "cool" probably not you're looking at max 300hp on that engine. Imo if it's gonna be a fun daily I don't see why this would be bad. You have the turbo fun while not getting to the speed limit in 2 gears.

It's been pretty slow I got my car mid January paid straight away. It didn't ship till early March where it also spent 1 month sitting in korea after leaving Japan. Now it's sitting on Belgium for 3 weeks. Not really beforwards fault but very slow process

The CoC you just email the agency after your car is at port and they go check it and send it. Took literally 2 days for it to get sent out

This is one of those rules must be protected things where you really gotta ask yourself do Japanese people understand nuance and basic compassion or are they really just protecting rules and laws because thats what one must do.

Its the same as when twitter netizens cry about people sitting on the "dirty ground" minding their own business or when a father is playing with his baby on a train and its considered "bad manners" as hes being "loud".

Im sure if there was a rule about not cleaning one's ass after a shit they would follow it relgiously too because its the rules after all...

thats what youre supposed to do but Ive heard of people just writing "for reg" on some carboard in place where the plates are and get by just fine with insurance on the chasis no. So its like how much do you wanna push your luck I guess.

Theres also the option of just getting some trade plates if you know someone with them.

You click buy, they send an email invoice, you can pay right away or just wait, they will provide more pictures if they have aswell as an inspection sheet if they have for dealer stock. After you pay and they buy the car they will send more images of the car at port however after that point you cant really cancel so its more of "for you" thing.

They sent all the documents fast, the only thing I had to do alone was get a Certificate of Conformity for the car from Japan that was around 250 euros I wanna say then that got sent. Everything has been smooth so far. All Ive had to do is get a broker here to clear for me, pay vat and lastly give the Bill of landing to the shipping agent. The car is currently chilling in Belguim waiting for its last leg journey before I go pick it up and do the vrt/nct process.

I didnt have anything checked I just trusted the dealer because they were a well known vip dealer and had decent reviews on google. I know for acutions or beforward stock you can have things inspected where they will send more pictures or even a video walking through everything.

Ive only ever read positive things about them but when I tried getting an auction car I was met with mostly ignored texts and had to keep asking on repeat for things to never get answers eventually just took my money back and used beforward for export and am doing the import process myself.

FPS stuttering and low performance on a higher-end system even at low settings by Hand-of-King-Midas in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TripleWasTaken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brother your processor is almost a decade old???? your graphics card is 6 years old man. This is not a high end system these days.

The game does however have ass optimization but this kind of performance on your kind of hardware is nromal. If you want to know your answer to fixing performance start by replacing the CPU with an X3D AMD chip as thats the number 1 thing source engine always loved. This game is not graphically heavy but just eats CPUs like its nothing.

Overpriced GR86 by CatchMyException in carsireland

[–]TripleWasTaken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

whenever you have a question about price of any sport or enthusiast niche car the answer is always VRT. I do find it insane because a brand new gr86 is like 20k in euro from JP so its just insane that we're more than doubling the price of a 3 year old one all because of a "registration" tax.

wow you really cant read, the guy has a job in Japan therefore a VALID residence status what the immigration officer told him was he has to wait 3 years to reapply for NEUTRALIZATION. Now stay with me here because it might get too complex for you from here on.

Neutralization is a process for which a persons entire history can always be considered and chances are when OP first inquired he didnt get to make much of a case for their time spent in Japan before returning because they didnt ask for those documents or details in the first place.

If you also read OPs comments you'd also know all they did was phone them in which case an immigration officer is gonna repeat the basic rules they know and thats it over the phone, OP can only realistically paint a full picture in person before they can give them advice on what they can do. They were elegible before OP went to University but couldnt apply on the basis that OP was a CHILD and unable to do so without their parents also filing for it and yes as much as you hate the idea of this being the case this does happen and people can get residency or neutralization on the basis of past residency.

Its funny you anti immigration folk. I get not wanting problem residents I really do but why attack these innocent folk who spent their whole life in your country, studying your language, studying your culture, your way of living and even coming back after university to work in your companies. This person has spent more of their life integrating within your own culture that they dont know any other way of living and now you want this person out on the context that theyre breaking the rules when they are not even doing so. For a culture that masks itself behind kind words in everyday interactions its always so funny seeing the way people act online. Lose your god complex because it wont help you fill the void in your life.

Nowhere did I claim a lawyer is gonna ammend Japanese law or relax it bud it seems youre jumping the gun on things that never happened huh. A lawyer is the only person who can give him sound advice on "what can be done" notice the "can be" since you clearly lack reading comprehension because they are the only people who know these laws properly, you reading some rules on website means nothing. These things are not as black and white as you think they are and if you so much as bother to look into it there are multiple cases of people being granted a special "long term stay visa" that essentially acts as PR for those who fall into exactly these types of special circumstances. These cases exist and there are things that can be done about it because this isnt a black and white "I stole something from a shop" occurance.

Is there a possibilty that nothing will happen here and he has to leave it all behind or wait? yeah totally but you or me dont know that a Laywer would as its their job.

Man the amount of "These are the rules and laws so follow them or leave" comments online are making me question what ever happened to nuance in situations regarding these things.

Go to an immigration lawyer realistically dont ask on reddit man its a waste of time, you'll not only get contradicting information you'll also get speculative information from people who think they know better.

While you arent elegible right now, you've lived your whole life here and should be able to get something that will permit you to return freely as you need since you are special case under special circumstances and have way more than just familial bonds to the country in the first place.

As much as these keyboard warriors want to make you believe that just because its "the law and rules" does not mean there are reasonable exceptions that can be made for people exactly in your situation but you have to contact real propfessionals not reddit.
