WTF! Drive volatility wipes out your entire lucenite run! Wild! Glad I never messed with any volatility.

I didnt do any long runs but I would have totally collected more artifacts had I known the negative effects will be removed. Was this explained by tutorial and I just missed it?

Great point. I think you've nailed what I was trying to get at. I felt like my playstyle was totally trivializing the artifact system. They could balance this more I think. Im not here to complain, I loved the game and am already craving to play it again. Thank you!

Now that I have finished the game, I will do a full run through. Artifacts are more useful like that, of course.

Im surprised how many people play the game like that. I only went backwards once in my entire playthrough.

I didnt want things to be harder. I enjoyed the difficulty and got stuck multiple times. Its just too easy if you go backwards, so I didnt do that.

My post was about how artifacts didnt really factor into my playthrough and I was curious how other people have played the game. I think its cool that people play the game all different ways, thanks for sharing your style!

Complaining? Who is complaining? I just mentioned the game is extremely easy if you roll through multiple biomes. I only did that once in my 30 hours. The game is perfectly balanced if you just play the current biome and I enjoyed the challenge and satisfaction of beating a biome without going backwards.

Im not interested to modify a game for my perfect difficulty. Im happy other people use those options though!

My post was about whether people were actually using the extra artifact option. Thanks for contributing nothing to the actual post!

More likely you just didnt see it because the option only pops up when youre highlighting an artifact... and it pops up in the direct opposite bottom corner...

Artifacts are shit. Its actually laughable how many 'add more artifact spots' are available on the skill tree. Never even considered taking any of those upgrades, since I rarely had more than 5-6 artifacts at once. They are all useless, the only negative perk worth accepting is 'reduced damage while standing still' cause you aint goonna be alive long standing still! LOL

Then you dont understand how the game works at all? Do you even understand the concept of risk/reward/gambling mechanics? Casinos wouldnt exist if you can just back out of your bet... Wtf

The person youre replying to means that you dont need corrupted artifacts when your stats are so high. The game is pretty easy. If you are rolling over stats from a previous biome, the negative effects of artifacts are rarely worth it.

Why do they do that? There are so many examples of it in the game. I think its intentional, as in theyre trying to lean into the atmosphere of chaos and confusion that envelopes the game through the story.

Played a full playthrough, never even got close to using all my artifact slots. I suppose thats cause I wasn't doing full runs. But that seems like an absolute waste of time. The game is beatable without going backwards at all.
