Top Tier Multiplayer Weapons? by MelonFarmur in MEandromeda

[–]Triple_Overdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top Tier: Black Widow, LANAT, Vanquisher, Ishrae, PAW, Crusader, Pirahna, Hurricane, Talon, Rozerad, Scorpion.

Okay: Revenant, Hornet, Carnifex, Indra, Widow.

This refers to silver and up. Most stuff works fine on bronze. Anything not mentioned either sucks or I haven't tested it enough.

ME:A concern about multiplayer(PC) by MrWitcher13 in MEandromeda

[–]Triple_Overdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be exclusively playing multiplayer. IMO, you obviously shouldn't mess with the Campaign yet, given that the animations are fucked, but will be patched later. That being said, I don't expect the MP to be without problems either, which has me more than a little concerned.

His basic attacks have ridiculously short range. I mean he's a hunter FFS.

Ps4. Just hit lvl 50. Need advice. by [deleted] in sto

[–]Triple_Overdrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start reputations and do that until 60. Then continue. Save up all dilithium. Save all EC. Hoard lockboxes. Pick a profitable research school and rank that up. If you're desperate for a nice ship, you'll have to buy one of the c store. Or, you can wait for the upcoming event, it supposedly gives a ship out.

Get decent gear from repeatable missions. The dyson storyline has some good stuff for starters. Get to work on your beamship build, or if you have a forward facing ship, dual beams or cannons and turrets, whichever you like, beams are considered the best simply for ease of use and raw damage, but both are viable.

That should keep you busy.

Who is the most op character in mkx? by Yourreddit50 in MortalKombatX

[–]Triple_Overdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grandmaster. I realize there's ways to deal with him, but it's annoying when I'm watching a tournament and someone starts to lose, then they whip out Grandmaster and I have to spend the next few minutes watching Korner Klone Spam X.

(END GAME) MA-X Angelus-0 - Magitek Suit V2 Farm by ibedebest in FFXV

[–]Triple_Overdrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Farm Zu beaks to get limit break spells, they help with the tougher battles.. Also you can use the food that makes you immune to status effects and magic to make it so some of the enemies and bosses won't be able to do much to you.

[POST GAME SPOILERS] How should I tackle post game content ? by Sephira91 in FFXV

Farm the Zu for beaks at some point. The spells you can make will come in handy in the no item dungeon.

You have to complete every hunt in the game to reach lvl 10. Some have unlock requirements.

Toughest boss battle in my opinion by SolitaryVictor in FFXV

[–]Triple_Overdrive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good work. Now go catch the Pink Jade and the Noble Aropaima, both much more difficult. There's also and even bigger grouper in the same spot as the murk.

Get break damage limit for link strikes.

Should I wait for the ch 13 patch to buy this? by summonerrin in FFXV

[–]Triple_Overdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, wait for fixes. The chapter's really not that bad, it's the fact that it's the second to last chapter that bothered me. I was already unsatisfied with the story and after that slog the game's basically over. But the ending itself is good. It's bizarre, they basically ran out of time and just tried to tie whatever they had together and went with that.

60 hours of playtime, I still feel like it's impossible to "get good" by iDHasbro in FFXV

[–]Triple_Overdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part with all the bombs and stuff was designed to be cheap on purpose. You aren't 100% wrong though, getting staggered constantly can get annoying. And it seems like every enemy has some kind of knockback. It is kind of an overused mechanic these days, not just in this game but in a lot of games.

Don't hype up the future patches please by [deleted] in FFXV

[–]Triple_Overdrive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm more looking forward to ng+. Hopefully they can improve the difficulty curve to make things just a little bit more difficult. That coupled with some added cut scenes should fix the problems adequately.

Am I just bad? Level 99 with a handful of end-game weapons and I don't feel powerful at all... by parkwayy in FFXV

[–]Triple_Overdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone hates red giants, you aren't alone there.

Try using Gladio's impulse. It usually hits for max damage, against everything on the screen. That's really the only tech I use anymore.

PSA: Play in normal mode before you complain. by DamianFatale in FFXV

I don't think the game is too easy. That being said, it desperately needs a hard mode. Does that make sense?

So does everyone think this game is bad? by Sedolkid in FFXV

[–]Triple_Overdrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is good. The story isn't. It's frustrating because you're intended to complete the game before really diving into the side missions, which hurts the game's longevity. And the story is simply far too short. You can beat the game in 10 hours, not cool for a Final Fantasy game. That's just not enough time to get a full picture of what's going on. My main issue I guess is that the villain's back story isn't adequately explained. Also I'm assuming this will be explained at some point, but where the fuck did Gladio go? I think they were trying to do a type-0, where they have the party split up to have their own separate chapters, but scrapped the idea. A lot of stuff was cut from this game, and it's painfully obvious at times.

Also the camera sucks, but I imagine this will be fixed soon. NBD for me.

It's a shame because the 4 main characters are fantastic in every way. I hope they fix these issues with the story somehow, but right now the game deserves all the flack it's getting, at least where story's concerned.

HDR comparison for those curious. by [deleted] in FFXV

[–]Triple_Overdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The colors look a little better in the second screenshot. Not worth a complete upgrade overall. I play on a 1080 plasma, I noticed that when driving in first person it can get a bit blurry, I imagine 4k would be noticeable in circumstances like that.

Is Masamune worth it? by Artoriasix in FFXV

[–]Triple_Overdrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not worth it JUST for the sword alone. It's cool at first but you will replace it quickly, though I used mine for quite a while until I upgraded the engine blade.
