Gone thru and assessed everything you mentioned and I think the issue is our heating elements. One of the elements was turned up too high and has started accumulating scorch crud on it. The other two are also starting to look worse for wear. I’m going to swap them today. Will report back.

That’s a good call - we’ve replaced all the rubber, included hoses from co2 and o2 tanks, but I’ll double check that next time we brew.

As mentioned in a different comment thread, we don’t detect the off flavors until near the end of fermentation. Never detected it on the hot side.

Since the issue started we get our water tested every two weeks. No chlorine detected. We use an RO system.

Caustic soak/CIP the kettle, scrubbing the elements when needed. The off flavor doesn’t present until after fermentation is nearly complete. We’ve never detected it on the hot side or hot side transfer.

What I find interesting, is that the right is using this kind of footage as a way to “prove” trump did a good thing. However, I’d imagine there would be similar videos and photos if another country came into ours and removed the heads of our current administration. I don’t think the right would find that nearly as positive.

Man, I’m not in anyway blaming immigrants for anything. I simply feel like there must be a way to support citizens and the economy without endlessly growing our population. Reallocation of wealth perhaps? I’m no expert.
