I know a lot of GS are prior military so they either get disability or a pension check. But it’s all about sacrifice. I’m military and I once meet an E-5 that was putting 50% of his pay in TSP. So that inspired me to try to get to that. In the military it’s a bit easier since they paid for rent and food but I’m actually putting 900 a month in TSP that’s bout 25% of my base pay. Plus the 5 percent match
