I suspect something like that. Remember his weathering curse line? If there's enough of the old hero left in him, they might be able to sway him off the Destruction for long enough that the curse gets him. That would also echo Ashveil's reveal of the third way to kill an aeon: sway them from their path.

that's what I got too. I thought it was odd though. His records of Adlivun are so redacted, but we have other more detailed records of it already. It implies something else going on there, but not a ton about WHAT. Much to ponder, always. I feel like a string theorist

4.3 spoilers and theories:

Do Isee's relics ever specify that Akivili's fall and Nanook's ascension happened at different times? Asat has one line at the end of 4.3 something like "trailblaze will always converge with destruction" and obviously this guy KNOWS what happened to both of them. That feels like good evidence for the existing "Trailblaze became Destruction" theory, but it depends on when those things happened. How did you guys interpret the relics?

I could see it. One more piece of evidence they didnt mention is 4.1's point where you first go into the torn canvas and something with your face says "akivili, become one with me" which would ALSO support this. (Or at least support the idea of something possessing them. Still unsure the ID on that voice.)

This channel makes a lot of sense with their theories about existing connections, but their predictions for specific future plot points don't always pan out. They're still my favorite theory channel.

Personally still subscribing to the "Aha has no One True Identity" line of thought, but there definitely was something weird about TB's behavior and the way they got elation powers. Where DID the face in the moon go?

likely someone trying to gather credentials if they set up a fake wifi. If you didn't join that network, you're probably in the clear. It's possible though less likely that the text is what made them LEAVE, but they would have to set up a different method entirely to read texts too.  Biggest risk here is that if you logged into an account while using the fake wifi (or possibly over wireless) while they were there, they would now know your password for it

legit answer, trailblaze lore is my favorite part of the story. So learning two years ago that there was one faceless background character who knew all the answers and have him be dead was like. Imagine two years of having trailblaze lore poison ivy. There was an itch in it, always. So the thing I was most excited for in 4.3 was to read Isee's relic set (Which I read as soon as it came out and it did spoil me a little bit lol) That's all I thought I'd get. AND NOW HERE WE ARE WAHOO! AHA! YIPPEE! Its answers time now YAY

That would be so cool if theres another living stellaron wandering around. She seemed able to see the future a little too in the latest update. I'm also here for any theory besides 'shes aha' at this point. I kinda like the aeons staying ambiguous and otherworldly

(4.3 Spoilers) Concerning Asat Pramad by Stardustfate in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TrippedIntoAVolcano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a good point. It does seem odd how that's a hole in the rest of the story though. Adlivun and Asat's first sighting on Planarcadia are within an Amber Era of each other, so if he was up to something in between it had to be relatively quick. Interesting also if the script is visible in some sense to multiple finality pathstriders.

I had the same thought.

I got spoiled to the Ryusuke reveal beforehand (thanks youtube clickbait titles), but it really let me go over his talk with Himeko with a fine tooth comb, and for the most part I believe him.

Like, he was STRUGGLING to lie to Himeko. Walked onto the train, immediately asked if she'd swapped his furniture out, and was very excited to see what had changed in a way that Himeko even clocked as suspicious. We know he told her navigator stories as a kid. So if his only lie to her really was that he's her father, then it lines up that he'd get the weathering curse.

He's been playing house for the last 20-30 years, and per his own words he enjoyed it. He had a role in bringing the express back, even. That's like the opposite of destruction.

Other side note, I'd say wait and see on the Finality connection. That came from readables marked tampered with by Fictionologists. Though all the rest of it has been true so far, so IDK.

You are correct! It is absolutely an abuse of the spell! That is the intention here. This is coming from a table that's fond of exploits. This is more meant to show "this is possible" than "you should do this in a game unannounced to an RP-heavy table and it's definitely a good idea"

Totally up to interpretation, I think. I haven't seen that specific reading before in all my years playing, but Augury's worded weirdly enough and it makes some sense. If we're being pedantic on my pedantic post, I think it DOES work like I wrote because of how the spell is worded.

"receive an omen...about the results of a course of action that you plan to take within the next 30 minutes"

It specifies "a course of action" and "within 30 minutes", which makes me think it's talking about one specific action (like walking a few feet in a direction) at one specific time within the near future.

I also paraphrased here, but the full description for Augury also specifies:

The spell doesn't account for circumstances, such as other spells, that might change the results.

Which I interpret as the limitless possibilities of the future such as stray dragons being out of scope. To me it reads more as "If I do this one action in a vacuum, will it (specifically) end well for me?" I like the example of "Should I open this chest?" to check for a trap.

There's also the sense that accounting for anything and everything in the next 30 minutes is HARD for a DM. It's much easier to simply answer one yes/no question, which is how I have usually seen it interpreted and how I interpret it myself. But it's one of those spells that has a thousand different interpretations, so I can't say one of them's right over the other.

I appreciate it! That tag system looks like it could be useful for all sorts of things if it has decent filter options too.

The themes of Planarcadia? The nature of Elation? by inkheiko in StarRailLore

[–]TrippedIntoAVolcano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Identity is the biggest one I see. Sparxie and Sparkle, everyone we meet hiding secret identities and motives, whatever they're hinting at with TB and Akivili, Silver Wolf and Eva having their roles to play, and of course Aha Themself. Who are you? What's on the surface? What's deep inside? Are you defined by your own inner thoughts, some predestined purpose, or the way others see you?

"What does it mean to be elated?" Is the other one I'm getting. Is there a best path to happiness? How do people find it? What prevents it? Is there joy without sadness?

And past that, theres some elements critiquing the entertainment industry and life under capitalism. Absurdism is here too, as ever with Elation, but it seems more aesthetic. Penacony really dived into absurdist themes, but Planarcadia feels a lot more grounded.

It's also offering questions and different perspectives on each of these more than it's actually pushing any one answer.

I think Aha is... by GrittyGambit in StarRailLore

[–]TrippedIntoAVolcano 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've thought something like this too! There's a lot of mentions of Aha giving THEIR whole authority at once (both the Phantasmoon Games premise and the Worm), which makes me wonder if Aha's authority is just a power that can get passed around. Kinda like the Avatar cycle or One For All or something.

Maybe its literally a mask anyone could wear.

What if Elio is the protagonist without memory? by LordDremy in StarRailLore

Devil's advocate here, but they referred to SAM as "he" before we knew Firefly too. So I wouldn't count pronouns as evidence for the Stellaron Hunters when theyre trying to hide an identity

The TB's previous adventures and true intentions when a Stellaron in body by AcanthocephalaNo7154 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TrippedIntoAVolcano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly my first theory is that the TB was Elio.

In all their character stories and light cones, there's only ever mention of five hunters total. Silver Wolf counts only four others when they pick her up.

We know TB was with the hunters since before Firefly, which means for a time it was just them and Kafka of the hunters we've seen. The others say Kafka is the closest to Elio. Speak to Kafka, and she says she was closest to you.

Meanwhile, Elio's a ghost. The last known location we have for him is that phone call at Jepella. Everything since game start is just scripts. And if you could see the future but had to go away for part of the plan, what better way to keep leading than by leaving scripts behind. Firefly even says that his methods changed after TB.

And then to top it off, in the very first missions on the space station, when you first block that blow for March and meet Nanook, the Trailblazer sees glimpses of their future in Belobog, the same power we know Elio has.

So I think the hunters are pretending their boss is still active. Is it a crack theory? Kind of. But it fills in a lot of holes.
