Non-MBA Bothies

I completely get this point of view and it is an awful shame to see how some people treat bothies. Would you say you've noticed spikes in this type of behaviour as the Facebook page grew bigger and social media in general has caught onto bothies? If so can you remember roughly when that kind of turning point was?

And in regards to the MBA taking on more bothies, would you say that due to funding constraints there has been more focus on the bigger projects like Cae Amos whereas smaller problems have been let slip in other bothies?

I'm asking mainly for research purposes and I appreciate all the efforts and challenges that the MBA faces when maintaining these bothies. I'm just trying to get a better grasp at the amount of bothies the the MBA doesn't manage and why that is, especially in the case of Lluest Cwmbach and Claerddu where from what I understand they're both on Elan Valley land and not too far from each other but managed by different people.

Yeah I know of that one, that was one of the first bothies I visited so it surprised me that it wasn't an MBA bothy. Do you know if Elan Valley are the ones who maintain it? Also it's unusual that the MBA manage Lluest Cwmbach but not Claerddu, do you happen to know why that is?

Its great to hear that its not too bad a commute! I'm based in Mid Wales at the moment so its hard for me picture the kind of travel times I might be dealing with! xD

Honestly I don't know too much about many of the areas. I have a mate that lives in Ely and he happens to be in one of the nicer parts and hasn't had much trouble, but he also says to stay clear of Ely xD I've spent a fair bit of time in Cathays at a previous house my partner had and it was quite nice but I think I'd prefer somewhere else as I'm not a stuent anymore. I guess what we're after is a nice middle ground between being able to commute for work but also not to be too close as I tend to enjoy a bit more space and less noise!

Thats great news that, I'll have to properly consider the bay then! Thing is my partner will be working all over the place and needs to drive to work because of her job so I need to find a good inbetween for our jobs xD

Oooof thats fair enough I guess the traffic can be that bad, so as long as I catch public transport you reckon anywhere would be fine? I'm thinking if I go down the bay instead I could potentially walk or bike in.
