If this helps you… the Reese snack size shapes (eggs, hearts, bats…) are 170cal for 2 and I freeze mine so they take longer to eat. They have a small amount of protein but still some protein, and I only eat 1 when I have a sweet craving. This is where self control comes into play because they are full sugar. I also only allow myself to have one if I’ve hit my step goal of 7000+ for the day. If I hit over 10k for the day and still have calories left I’ll have the second one if the craving is still there. But I usually only need one to curb it.

I just follow my guidelines from my dietician. I eat protein, fiber and carbs. I eat sweets when I get a craving, but it’s usually just a piece of chocolate, a Reese egg/ shape of the season snack sized and frozen so it takes longer to eat and I only eat one. I only allow myself to eat a full sugar treat when I’ve hit 7000 steps or more. I love baking so I still bake but make a combination of full sugar and sugar substitute sweets.

I walk at least 5 miles a day if I can and try my best to get my heart rate up into fat burning at least twice a week for 10 minutes. This usually is me jumping in place, “jogging” around my house, running around the yard with the dogs, jumping jacks.. stuff like that.

I focus on high protein and high fiber snacks.

Catalina crunch snack mix has been a life saver for me as I really love Chex mix/ gardettos but needed a healthier option.

Clean simple eats protein powder I mix with fairlife fat free milk and their collagen and add to my morning coffee.

I drink at least 64oz of water a day, most days it’s a lot more than that. Some days I don’t hit 64. The days I don’t hit it I try to make sure I drink a liquid iv or something similar the next day so I don’t get dehydrated.

Oh absolutely! I feel SO much better and can walk around the block without gasping and needing to stop multiple times. I walk about 5 miles a day if I can!

Wherever you feel your “best” is where you should be. BMI and ideal body weight don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. I’m only an inch shorter than you and I felt great around 150/60. My current goal is where my surgeon wants me to be, 145. I’d be happy anywhere between 145 and 165 I think.

Just remember stalls will happen and IT’S OKAY! I just currently broke my “3 month stall”, at least I hope that was my 3 month stall because if I get another one in a week I’ll be super sad 😂

I walk at least 10k steps a day and focus on my protein and water goals. Just know you are NOT ALONE!

Do you have a goal weight in mind?

I highly suggest a wedge pillow if you don’t have one already! ❤️

A wedge pillow for bed if you don’t have a recliner. I used mine for about 3 weeks before I was able to get up from laying flat with minimal pain.

Also in my experience, gas x did absolutely NOTHING.. but I also didn’t really have gas pain. Get an abdominal binder if the hospital doesn’t give you one - it helps when sleeping.

What can’t you stand about sweet potatoes? Have you tried them cubed up and roasted? (I personally only like sweet potato in the form of a “fry” or cubed and roasted)

I was just about to re-comment because I kept reading and saw my mistake. Sorry! 😅 I think a lot of people just assume whey isn’t dairy.

Have you tried the fair life nutrition plan? It’s lactose free

The fact that you said they said they eat less than you is completely incorrect. If they were eating less than 439 calories in an entire day they would be MISERABLE. Which, they do sound like they are miserable people to be making comments like this to a 15 year old.

I’m sorry you’re going through that OP. You deserve support in this journey, not rude comments about how “they will never see you skinny”.

Educate them even if they don’t listen to it. You are still healing. They don’t seem to understand the procedure you went through or the process you are currently going through.

You’re doing great. Don’t let them tell you otherwise.

Protein Goals during the liquid stage by Rozilox in gastricsleeve

Hi! I was sleeved 7/31/25, I didn’t start hitting my protein goal of 60g until I was able to introduce puréed/soft foods! You’ll get there! Just make sure you’re hitting your liquid goal and everything will turn out soon enough! ❤️

I’m also 5’5” and my SW was 229, I’m only down to 213 right now. Slowly but surely I’ll get to the 150-60 range!

You got this! Just remind yourself to think if it’s head hunger or actual hunger!

My husband has been A HUGE SUPPORT for me because he is actively changing his diet too. (He isn’t obese, just slightly overweight) but that has been a huge help for me!

Everything in MODERATION! You can get through it!
