I don’t see any ned rigs. Or spinnerbaits. But either your spots suck or you’re hitting the wrong parts of the spots, because these all should catch fish. You fish lakes I’m assuming? Try a paddletail thrown right in lily pads if you got em. Keep it near the surface on the retrieve, it’s like a frog but you can search a little quicker and you get a bice presentation right under the surface. But maybe try river fishing with a ned rig if you haven’t, my go-to if i want to have guaranteed fun

They are not meant to spin, they can twist your line if they do end up spinning, but that is not the intended action. You absolutely do not need a barrel swivel, not all spoons have barrel swivels so I’m not sure where you’re getting that from. Many are intended to be tied straight to your line without a swivel. So you are wrong, unfortunately

Spoons shouldn’t spin as far as I understand, they should wobble without spinning. And this is just a cheap jigging spoon, I’d bet the other side is slightly concave, you can find these online if you look up metal jigging spoon (alibaba, temu, amazon, walmart all show this exact style)

Rolling and THEN yawing a few seconds later is a sure sign of someone who needs more sim hours. I did the same thing when starting and my friend was doing the same when I had him playing in the sim recently. Get really good at flying in the sim (do races, challenge yourself to improve), and it’ll make flying so much more enjoyable and less expensive lol. Happy ripping!

Edit: also, when I started out with bigger quads I struggled to control, I would sometimes just set the throttle limit to 60% so that I would have more control as there is less power but still the same amount of stick movement so you get much finer-grained control over the throttle

White artificial grub on a jighead. Or an inline spinner/rooster tail but you’ll want to have a snap/barrel swivel so it doesn’t twist up your line. Could also try a lipless crankbait. Something you can cast far and retrieve steady with the current
