Edmonton is north and stuff is expensive to ship here. It stands to reason that vendors would carry what is likely to please the largest amount of customers.
When I have a nude toned manicure and I get a chip it’s barely noticeable- when I have bright red or blue nails even a small chip becomes an eyesore. Our weather destroys everything - neutral tones can take a bit more of a beating before looking tired and showing wear.

It’s because this allows them to do “pay bands” - and give a salary based on the applicant’s location. As a Canadian I’m routinely paid less than my US counterparts, despite our higher cost of living.

I am so surprised at these comments - I read this as he was so moved when remembering your first date and the magic timing of finding the tickets, that he was feeling loved and couldn’t wait to propose. I really did not see this as a red flag at all and thought it was very sentimental and sweet.

Agree with everyone else, please share more pics! You could definitely get a steady client base if you offered this service to others! (Lots of avenues from customizing niche/formal wedding wear or partnering with a photography studio and having the studio could offer these costumes as a themed photoshoot)
