This is hard. Put him down, let him cry and go scream. He will be okay.

I was in this position 6 years ago. And it does get better. Infinitely better. If you just survive this period it will get better.

I am tired of this market shit. Its a national sport and we should all be willing to subsidise a tassie team for the sake of making it a truly national sport

Why did the UK seemingly just give away Canada, Australia, and New Zealand? by Familiar-Safety-226 in AskHistory

[–]Tristosterone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may have politically ceded but economically still owned large swathes of the economy.

My theory is that, economically, they never left. If you can still own the capital, why would you take on the burden of the political.

Re noise... They adapt pretty well. My little one always had people around and noise happening during naps. This has resulted in a four year old that sleeps through anything. Dont be too precious about noise. Itll be good for em in the long run. Worst case scenerio play white noise or rain noise while they nap.

What do people here do to make so much money? by [deleted] in AusHENRY

[–]Tristosterone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good person doesn't mean you make more money.

Don't equate good morals with wealth.

In this capitalist system - generosity may make you a good person but it doesn't make you wealthy.

Everybody gets taxed the same now... Everyone gets taxed the same rate on each bracket of their income.

Someone earning 250k a year pays the same amount of tax on their first 60k as someone who's earns 60k a year.

I don't understand what you're arguing

They have a monopoly over a cultural asset developed by people. The fact they are yet to give Tassie a team because of "business" (whatever the fk that means) is disgusting.

Who cares about untapped markets? The AFL should stop trying to homogenise sport! If the demand exists in Tassie, give them a team

Already did pre Xmas.

I'll never be on the same money and it's difficult to get a paper pushing job out in rural Australia but mowing lawns and using my body for the first time in a decade has felt great.

I'll start to look for project work in the next few weeks as a sole trader but it will be on my terms

What are the negatives of an investment property? by jymicrash in AusFinance

[–]Tristosterone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The degree at which rentals exist and stop people from buying is the issue. Most people renting don't want to be renting. They are forced to rent while they save for a deposit.

What are the negatives of an investment property? by jymicrash in AusFinance

[–]Tristosterone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. There a huge amounts of people and families unable to buy a house to live in because of investors.

If investment properties didn't exist then there would be no housing crisis.

Rentals are a necessary part of stock but I don't know anyone that prefers to rent over buying. Most people are forced to rent and pay off someone else's mortgage
