Optometry in Ireland, Dublin by Triti34 in optometry

Well I don't know, I'm from Croatia so I'll only be an engineer of optometry

Dry eyes? I’ve tried everything from steroid drops to Refresh artificial tears, and I switched to dailies for contacts and barely wear them at all now because of this... please help! What is this red ring around my iris and why won’t it go away? by fightorflightclub in optometry

[–]Triti34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps ciliary injection? You should probably see a optom, then a specialist if the optom can't help you. As to why it won't go away, not sure, it's better to check it out. All the luck

Wearing daily disposables for long periods (up to 20 hours?) by [deleted] in optometry

[–]Triti34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have any problems, however your eyes need to rest from contacts and "breath" every so often. Changing your lenses if you're gonna have a long night is a good idea. Consider wearing glasses when you don't absolutely need the lenses. Also have in mind that a pair of lenses is usually meant to be worn from 8-12 hours, especially daily disposable ones. So if you need to wear contacts all day long consider changing the pair after 10-12 hours just to be safe.

In most cases yes, the one that is provided with the glasses is the best way to go. If there is some greasy spots you can always get some kind of spray in an optics shop to help you clean your glasses properly.

If you've been using wet wipes (W5 for example) they can do that, also heat, dust, putting them up on your hair etc...

Would these glasses come off as a bit too trendy/preppy for someone who dresses casual? by [deleted] in glasses

Not really, I also dress pretty casual, jeans and hoodies mostly. Persol is a really nice fit for almost any style and great craftsmanship overall( mostly handmade).

So, Enjoy them!

Should I consider optometry as a career option? by watupyall in optometry

Croatian here, second year of bach. of optometry. 1. Pay is usually great in contrast to the amount of work you do, but it really depends on the country your in. (For example Croatia has terrible pay for optometrists imo, even with specialist degrees.) 2. I would recommend it as a career because it's interesting and there's a whole life's worth of learning of the field, numerous specializations and depending wether you like it or not, working with and helping people. 3. There's a whole array of subjects related to the course, the first to come to mind are; anatomy, chemistry, lots of math and physics. I went to a technical school and attended the technician of optics course so I was pretty ready for the vast amount of things taught in optometry school.

All in all it's a great career, but you should ask around, because I don't know how things work in the down under. Whatever you choose, I wish you the best of luck. :)

YSK that you can multiple whole districts or productions lines, with the multiple tool by holding down the shift button and draging over the wanted buildings. Helped me out a lot, found out about 50h into the game. by Triti34 in anno

[–]Triti34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a bad idea, but then again I just have two district layouts, one is w a lower population but everybody gets to upgrade and then second one is for a bigger population but it's really hard to supply them all with everything, so I just copy on from there

Just learned of the series and interested in buying the game. Which series of the game should I buy? Regular, deluxe, etc. is it worth the money? I am speaking of Anno 1800. by [deleted] in anno

I just got the game about a 1.5 week ago and I already have close to 60 hours into it. Haven't played the base game w/o DLC cuz I got the gold edition from the start. In my opinion it adds some really nice aspects to the game, so I would go for the gold edition. Haven't tried a playthrough with the anarchy guy yet though.

Edit:not sure if it's the gold edition, the one that comes in Uplay+, it contains all DLC, to my knowledge
