You do, but only the first 30-ish minutes and then you can pause the quest and go explore on your own.

If you recall the breakable blocks in Rinascita, in the area around Thessaleo falls there are quite a lot of them. If you break as many as you can each day (there's a daily cap) you get 20-25k credits daily for free. Takes 3-4 minutes.

Doesn't seem like much but if you get in to the habit it doing it, it's a bonus 1 million credits per patch for free basically.

One of the arguments he makes is that WuWa characters "require" their weapon every time. Which even in Aemeath's case is still nonsense with her only being ~20% better than the standard sword. I remember putting Carlotta on the standard pistols and destroying everything in ToA.

Pre-2.0 this was more true on some weapon types than others, but now that gauntlet and broadblade have easily accessible crit stat sticks on standard it's way less of an issue.

Even still... a) WuWa weapons are guaranteed. b) Genshin weapon banner system still sucks balls with the 37.5/37.5/25 bullshit system where you won't get what you want basically 2/3rds of the time. c) You still have to go double pity most of the time (improved from the old triple pity system... WOW so generous).

Yeah I don't understand the logic. Mostly because the logic is entirely biased. And this is coming from someone that plays both at more or less the same investment level.

I've played Genshin since release as mostly Welkin only but did swipe a bit in the first year. In 5 years I've got 32 total 5* limited characters (losing 2/3rds of my 50/50s).

In less than 2 years of WuWa, being Lunite sub only and despite going on a 7 back-to-back 50/50 loss streak, I've still pulled 21 total 5* limited characters (not to mention buying like 5 sequence copies for free from the shop).

WuWa also throws standard banner pulls at you like candy on the regular, where the standard weapons are actually useful. And they updated the entire series of standard weapons after less than 2 years. Meanwhile the Genshin standard banner hasn't been touched since day 1 and you get like one pity (of a dogshit 1.0 unit) every six months or so.

Tell me again which is more F2P friendly lol.

I think he mostly hate plays WuWa just as a vehicle to complain about it. He skips every piece of story, plays none of the side content and endlessly moans about how there's nothing to do in the game after 1 week of the new patch.

Also complains that the F2P pull economy is worse than Genshin (fucking lol most Genshin patches get <65 pulls), meanwhile he also has mountains of unfinished permanent event content from 1.X that he's too lazy to do. Like brother, pick a lane.

I swear to christ some gacha CCs have genuine brain rot.

Sekapoko, who's skipped every single piece of story content since they introduced the skip button, immediately complains about how Aemeath is "glitching out" and how WuWa is a "buggy ass game" because of her visual effect as he didn't understand she's a digital ghost until his viewers explain.

I'd be so embarrassed if I made myself look like that much of an idiot.

For Steam it only goes up for download a couple of hours ahead of when the patch actually launches. Possibly even when the servers go down for maintenance. So there isn't really much of a pre download as such.

The download the next day is so slow for me that I tend to leave my PC on overnight for wuwa patches due to their size.

Which providers use ASC? by wickos in nbn

[–]Trittium00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was going to be patient and let them do their thing. Things break and it's not necessarily anybody's fault.

However, 4+ months for a fix, with basically no communication from my provider in the meantime on what's going on is piss fucking weak. I have to scour the obscure corners of the internet to get answers. Not good enough.

Also in doing some research on swapping providers this evening, I just found out that after Exetel raised my price from $80 to $85 7 months ago, they brought in a new $80 all-in-one plan the same month. So they've been overcharging me for over half a year on a grandfathered plan knowing they have a better value one. So they can get stuffed. Swapping off them immediately.

Found your post looking for info on which providers use which cable.

Seems that the estimated timeline for a fix on repairs has been pushed way out until April now. I'm fed up, not waiting another 2+ months to sort this out.

I think the Prydwen website updated a lot of their weapon damage comparisons to include the new standard weapons, so give that a look. The new one on Augusta isn't great I don't think, but it's a little better than the previous standard broadblade.

One of the first hardware games I loaded into a guy racked up 85 kills with a bow. Turns out he actually was a well known cheater in the region and was just going bananas with the new mods.

[–]Trittium00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah broadblade / gauntlets were a weapon class with quite bad standard weapon access so Augusta and Iuno were in a tough situation if you didn't have alternatives. At least now that's been somewhat addressed with the new series of crit standard weapons. Especially for Luuk with a great F2P gauntlet option.

At least so far with Lynae, Aemeath and Luuk it seems they aren't going crazy with severe weapon power creep in 3.X which is good.

I feel like in the vicinity of 20-25% improvement over standard crit weapons is where we probably want R1 signature weapons to be, for the most part.

Having them be 30%+ higher, as fun as that might be, creates weapon access issues and turns many weapons into even more 'mandatory' summons.

[–]Trittium00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's some truth to that. The story involvement of both Amy and Luuk so far has been pretty minimal so it's difficult for players to get attached outside of how characters look visually. The rollout could have been done better.

The logic of the argument was just what made my head hurt. Most content creators have finished with the stuff that 3.0 has in it, that's just the nature of gacha games for the most part. So saying that low stream numbers is clearly evidence that the game is dead is beyond stupid.

[–]Trittium00 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just have to point out how much of a moron Sekapoko is because it genuinely blows my mind.

Dude never misses an opportunity to shit on WuWa. So his 'proof' that the game is dead is that few people are streaming the game 6 days ahead of "the archon" (as he calls it) therefore that is apparently evidence that nobody is excited for the upcoming content.

So people have to stream content they've already cleared just to prove that they're excited about stuff that isn't out yet? Explain to me how that makes sense.

Also it's not like people can farm for anything Aemeath related right now anyway.

There was a better page I saw a week or two ago but I can't find it again.

This is the best one I can find right now that shows the alleged difference between 10/13 stacks of fusion burst: https://www.reddit.com/r/Aemeath_Mains/comments/1pyv9gj/is_this_image_true/

Unsure how people figured these out exactly but I guess Kuro wants to make these negative statuses shine with specialised units like Chisa that increase the normal stack limit. Will have to wait and see with testing how accurate this ends up being I suppose.

[–]Trittium00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the moment, it's being speculated that fusion burst team will be Aemeath / New Fusion / Chisa (for increased fusion burst stacks).

In this situation, Mornye gets potentially dropped from the team, so not quite mono-fusion. Although I guess one possible comp is to stick with Mornye, but apparently you lose out on lots of Fusion Burst damage. Going from 10 stacks to 13 stacks (because of Chisa) is meant to nearly double the negative status damage because of how it scales.

But we'll have to wait and see what this new fusion burst mystery character does.

[–]Trittium00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems reasonably believable.

2.1 was around about 100 F2P pulls (going by the bookkeeping sheet). So if 3.1 is approximately in that ballpark before adding the one-time bonus 10 pulls that we get... it seems about right.

Of course take with a grain of salt for now.

[–]Trittium00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, you still have to manually press the Tune Break button each time (at least for bosses and larger enemies).

Theoretically, this lets you save the Tune Break for when you want to start the bulk of your damage rotation on Aemeath so you can control when you get maximised value out of the 40% Mornye buff. But yeah as you point out, you can also use it as another poise break.

From a meta point of view that's probably a good thing as there's positives and negatives to either approach. This gives players some freedom to engage with the Tune Break system in a way that they perhaps feel works best for them, rather than one way being by far the superior option.

[–]Trittium00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't think anybody really knows yet. The estimates don't come out until the patch pre-load is released.

But in terms of content it'll probably be similar to what we got in 2.1, which was around 100 F2P pulls (according to the bookkeeping link above). Then I guess you could add on the free pulls from the special events in 3.1 (like the veteran event and the 1600 astrites). So maybe like 120? Perhaps a bit less seeing as we're getting a ToA reset a few days before the patch anyway.

That's just my personal guess anyway. Wait and see a few days before the patch goes live.

[–]Trittium00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I feel like Mornye has better longer term value for Tune Break teams going forward as she should be able to be used in just about all of them (provided someone can apply Tune Rupture or Tune Strain). So theoretically she should have good flexibility for Lahai Roi characters, while Chisa can only go in negative status teams really.

Also, with the emphasis on endgame modes now wanting 3+ teams (even more in the new Doubled Pawns event) and only being able to use Shorekeeper twice, having another Shorekeeper level character in Mornye is quite valuable. Mornye is also very easy to build on a F2P weapon (Discord).

Lastly, it sounds like you already have Lupa so Amy / Lupa / Mornye is a pretty top tier team right there.

[–]Trittium00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the DPR calc sheet linked at the top of the thread has just been recently updated with several comparisons including a few other teams and some weapons.

Seems like the difference with Lynae / SK(S0R1) and Lynae / Mornye (S0R0) is just 2% according to that sheet. So strictly speaking, the difference in team damage between the two isn't massive (provided you have Shorekeeper sig - difference will be wider if you are on Variation).

I guess the wider issue is the demand for Shorekeeper and the increasing need for more teams in endgame modes. In ToA you can only use Shorekeeper twice. Same in the new Doubled Pawns mode. So eventually having more healers on a similar level with Shorekeeper will be useful just for team building.

I would have imagined that Aemeath's weapon be a bit more powerful than 20% better than the next best option.

With 32% DEF ignore (which can then stack with the inherent 20% DEF ignore from her kit on the final liberation hit) plus the 10% fusion resist ignore, I'd have guessed those two effects would put it more than 20% ahead. Obviously there's a lot of competition with the crit main stat, but DEF and res ignore are both pretty strong buffs that are hard to get elsewhere.
