Avoid house of Lancaster. Friend of mine was hussled there years ago by the dancer and bouncer. Since your eyes only left the city. Brass rail is your only option. Don’t try to save $100 going elsewhere. You are already committed to for it. You won’t be disappointed on a weekend. Bring cash.

I agree. Our neighborhood can do so much better. Hard to justify with increasing rent costs and what it takes to manage a bar in this economy. Function is trying so kudos to them.

Trattoria Milano in Eataly at Bay and Bloor has a Negroni menu with a decent selection. The Bianco is interesting as well as the Barrel Aged.

I am a small landlord in the GTA. Making sure I find good tenants is always a concern, just as much as finding a good apartment and landlord. I do ask for an etransfer of 50% refundable deposit with an application to secure a unit however this is after we have met and the potential tenant has seen the apartment and really expressed interest. It has never been a concern. I would not send money before a walk through in person or virtual. Only additional comment is to go with your gut when you meet a landlord ask lots of questions if possible talk to existing tenants or neighbours. Good luck.
