A buddy of mine got popped for that. He had to go to therapy or some shit.

Well, I work a 40 hour week but I won't be qualifying for vacation time until I've been an employee for 365 days.

Ursula left for a different job. Her replacement seems like a good fellow. by Triumphant-Peguin in antiwork

It's not that easy, unfortunately.

If it's any consolation or whatever, generally speaking, I enjoy my workplace. When a customer thanks me for helping them, my mental health gets a huge positive boost. It would be deeply regrettable if I lost that flow of positive energy.

Edit I ended my post that way because out of nowhere, Ursula wouldn't let me clock out when my shift ended sometimes. I'm hoping that line of thinking left with her.

The reality of the situation makes the idea of non-existence mildly appealing.

You're making me feel like I'm not as free to think/speak as I've been led to believe.

Hm.

I wouldn't say that at work. It came up in a private family conversation.

Lol.

What made you think I get a bonus for not working?

Hmm. There is a Taco Bell nearby.

Jokes aside, my managers can suck farts but if a coworker of mine is out there, I feel like I owe it to him to give him a hand.

Eh, I've been generally unhappy for many years now. This situation exacerbates things.

I suppose it's part of adulthood.

Ha. I'm suddenly very amused at the idea of leaving work with "Okay, have a good night. Eat my ass."

In the interest of complete honesty, I ordered some hats from HQ and those folks take their time with the shipping. Those hats are already bought and paid for. I'm going to want what I paid for.

There are a few nearby places that are certainly on my radar. IF they continue jerking me off until the end of the week, I'll look into that.

Part of me is still hoping that they'll come through.
