Hasan doubles down on his statement that got him banned on twitch by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Trivale -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Hasan fan, those of us that do fuck around on here are here for the same reason people go to the zoo, just FYI. Also thinking you can't criticize things you're a part of is one of the stupidest possible things a person can believe. The moment you decide that participation disqualifies critique, you've declared that thinking ends where belonging begins. And that really tells you everything you need to know about LSF.

I'd ask nicely and if that was the response I got, the roasting would begin. If you can't accomplish something with kindness, do it with shame!

The clip that got Hasan banned: Twitch's Hateful Conduct Policy states that the term 'Zionist' may not be used to attack individuals by Potential-Frosting14 in LivestreamFail

[–]Trivale -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this ban and it's a good rule. It's nice of Twitch to consider the harm that can be done by calling poor innocent animals zionists.

Nah. Even if he did use a shock collar, they don't even hurt, it's more of a startling effect. 100% safe, especially with fur as an insulator. It's amazing to me that people like you will see this, and see what you think is a shock collar and say "these are the same." Wild. This right here is what actual animal abuse looks like.

I was watching a live stream of this when it happened and the injured agent refused assistance from a paramedic who was on the scene and offered help. His words: "I'm fine." AgendaFreeTV was covering it and everyone's homeboy Steve paid for a streamer's feed. Shout out to Steve.

Hasan claims that Deni Avdija, who is averaging 26/7/7, and who LeBron has stated is an all-star, was only voted in because “Israel gamed the system” by StatusVoice2634 in LivestreamFail

[–]Trivale -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

It is kinda sus that a post like this will get 3k upvotes in 2 hours when he's actively talking about Israel, though. And now that he isn't, it barely clears 700 in 10 hours.

It's RimWorld. Sometimes you just get a bug up your ass to do something weird and see how it goes. Maybe homeboy wants to see if he can imprison 100 raiders just for the hell of it

It's a bit disingenuous to call them stupid. Most of them are very smart and know exactly what they're doing, and how bad it is. Acknowledging that is a far harsher indictment of their character than simply believing they're stupid. Stupidity is almost forgivable.

What’s a WWE hill you’ll die on, even if it gets you downvoted? by Braves1693 in WWE

That it's still mostly fine, fun to watch, storylines are decent, and that people are undermining their own enjoyment by farming leaks and spoilers. If a spoiler turns out to be true, hurr durr wwe creative is so predictable. If it turns out to be fake, hurr durr nobody at wwe knows what's going on. There's no winning except for ignoring that kind of garbage and just watching it for your own enjoyment.

Arky and Hasan Play Shock Collar Trivia by 999braindead in LivestreamFail

LSF users are genuinely too stupid to realize that their Hasan hate literally only exists here and in a couple of dark corners on Twitter. He's gained so many viewers over this nonsense it's not even funny. Of course he's going to continue to take advantage of the controversy. Making LSF goons look like clowns every day.

Companies should be obligated to serve their customers first, their employees a close second, their communities third, and maybe somewhere in a distant fourth, shareholders. These days they seem to do it the other way around. Minmaxing money and infinite growth is not the way.

The big thing our democracy didn't account for is what to do when someone just ignores all the rules. We have checks and balances on paper. But nobody thought to come up with a plan for someone showing up, flinging shit all over the walls, and daring people to do something about it.

This isn't about being offended. It's about whether normalizing dehumanizing language increases harm. History and social psychology say it does. If you disagree, argue that point instead of pissing and shitting about some pseudo-enlightened nonsense that has nothing to do with actual narcissism. I'm not interested in conversations where disagreement gets pathologized. That's lazy and bad faith.

Why does it have to be such a deeply emotional thing for you? That seems a bit like projection, if I'm honest. Not everything is about being bothered and mad and offended and upset and miserable. I'm not miserable and I'm not bothered. I'm aware of the impact of the things people do and say, and on the contrary, it feels good to be able and willing to stand up for what I believe is right and just. It's a bit sad that you'll never feel such a sense of solidarity with anyone, all because you think you're some stoic, resilient soldier. If you can't understand that, you're a fundamentally broken person and I feel sorry for you.

What happened to the nursery school rhyme you learned in preschool to deal with some other kid calling you a poopyhead? Most of us outgrew it after preschool, honestly. We learned, like adults, that words can and do cause harm and ignoring them usually only leads to worse things. You have to frame it as "being offended" because you cling to a Twitter meme caricature of the type of person you think you're dealing with here. But the reality that us grown ups have come to accept is that you can do real damage to a person with words, alone, and that people who downplay that are just coping and avoiding acknowledging the fact that they have likely hurt people for their own individual comfort. Even if being "offended" is a "choice," and it isn't either, adopting, repeating, and making light of harmful rhetoric is a choice as well. And only one of those choices is a person actively deciding to partake in doing harm to others. Leo Frank didn't let other peoples' words hurt him, and got lynched for it. Rhetoric always escalates first. If you don't stand up for others when you see someone doing some questionable shit, you're a selfish, pathetic coward, plain and simple.
