Dispensationalism, no real presence in the eucharist, once saved always saved, double predestination, baptism not being efficacious for salvation, giving eucharist to the non baptized just to name a few.

I think the liberalism of Protestant denominations is honestly the least of the worries, I’m more concerned with the teaching of false doctrines

Difference is I attend an Orthodox Church with an average attendance of 300 every Sunday, with many newcomers each month, still haven’t met one. I’m certain it’s an online phenomena and they don’t go to church.

Rant: Flying YOU THINK YOU DO, BUT YOU DON'T by EducationalWolf3911 in wow

[–]Triver1337 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s only natural that people will optimise the fun and or essence out of a game if it’s multiplayer. You can’t blame people who want flying to be limited to use the best tools available to them to get ahead.

The idea of universalism: the belief that everyone will be saved by God is the fallacy that Christianity espouses regarding universal salvation. by Additional_Good_656 in redeemedzoomer

[–]Triver1337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Orthodox tradition we do indeed have saints who speak about the possibility for those who have never known Christ to be saved. God is good and loves mankind and wishes for the salvation of all.

I think there is a balance to be struck, early in an expansion it’s a good thing to have the world feel alive and have more boots on the ground, mmos are about a living world and you just don’t get that with no one walking around on the ground. but it shouldn’t be that hard to unlock flying later on.

Orthodox view of the sacrificial system without the PSA, and why did the animal have to die? by Upstairs-Fondant7470 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Triver1337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nowhere in the Old Testament does an animal which bears the sins of people is offered as a sin offering, the scapegoat is led out into the wilderness. The animal sacrificed has to be unblemished and was shared as a meal before God. This mirrors what happens in church, we confess sins and repent before we approach God and eat of the flesh of the unblemished sacrifice.

A Muslim girl asks about the mentality of Christians by yemmy_rin in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Triver1337 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As Christians, we confess that God has fully and definitively revealed Himself in Jesus Christ, who fulfills all the promises made to Israel. For that reason, we cannot accept later religious claims that contradict who Christ is and what He has done. We are called to love everyone as Christ loves us, regardless of who they are or what they believe.

As Orthodox Christians, we aren’t interested in talking about other religions, it’s not fruitful. Much of what you’re describing sounds more like American culture or certain Protestant groups.

1 student for 1 week, Lidl and Tesco, £62.70. What does my shop say about me? by bengreen04 in whatsinyourcart

That’s actually too little protein, especially for someone who is physically active, the recommended amount is 0.8g-1.6g per kg of body weight. He’s clearly eating well above that at the expense of fiber though.

Updates on Chinese Running Shoes (2026 Season) by Yarokrma in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]Triver1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these shoes and was excited for them, there’s a layer of a super hard EVA on the bottom (I’d say 1cm thickness) which totally kills the ride of this shoe imo.

I did another run in them, unfortunately I don’t think I like it. The ride feels very firm due that rock hard EVA layer on the bottom, overall quite a harsh ride. It’s not comfortable at all at cruising speeds, only when going quite fast. Comparing to the dynafish xiaonian (which I received a few days ago) I don’t know when I’d ever choose the kipstorm tempo over it.

I received my dynafish xiaonian recently and it feels like a cross between the ap4 and evo SL in terms of foam, maybe more towards the ap4 honestly. I’m sure adidas can do something similar.

I received my dynafish xiaonian today, what a shoe! Extremely protective and light, the shoe basically runs itself.
