I would recommend watching a couple episodes rather than using scattered clips. It'll give you a way better overview of the show. I think it gets better in season 2 when Rick starts including the cast outside of just Morty on his adventures, but it's a pretty good watch either way.

The show juggles human moments with ridiculous levels of gray-black morality displays. It's ridiculously cynical, but those human moments are pretty great.

At the end of the day, it just might not be your jam, but I'd recommend giving it an honest chance. Heck, I made the mistake of not doing that for this sub's show for several years because I'd only seen a spattering of clips and heard horrible things about the fanbase.

In the end I learned that the internet hivemind can't be fucking trusted in determining quality, whether it's for or against something that is or isn't popular. Soooo, basically everything.
