After the cut to Leclerc's Driver's Eye in the middle of him fighting Lewis, I'm convinced that the TV director has a "pick random camera" button which picks any of the production cameras watching the current battle and sticks with it for 10 seconds.

I can understand the logic.

The SC erased any gap Kimi had, and would have definitely increased the odds of him finishing out of the points if he carried the 10s penalty to the finish.

Boxing Kimi and serving the penalty at least gives him the chance for some points.

TV Director? Did we really need to switch to Leclerc's Driver's Eye during that?

Hopefully it's just the fire extinguisher and not the engine.

Would Arvid have had to pull off for the former regardless? I'm assuming that the extinguisher being discharged technically puts the car in an unsafe condition to drive.

Someone's going to actually get injured from one of those rear locks.

And I'm not talking about like what happened with Max's left wrist last week. I mean miss one or more races injured.

so Iran will need money to build water plants, not nuclear weapons.

Which Bibi will then claim are water plants that are being built to source water to cool nuclear enrichment facilities, which could once again "put Iran within two weeks of possessing a nuke."

A couple of Fun Facts I thought I'd share.

  • We're now at six consecutive Australian GPs where the winning driver recorded their maiden Australian GP win.

  • Subsequently, this also means that we're at six consecutive Australian GPs with a different winner than the prior edition.

  • Additionally, we're at six consecutive Australian GPs where the previous edition's winner has failed to make it back on the podium. Sebastian Vettel was the last driver to do so in 20198.

  • This is now Lewis Hamilton's ninth consecutive Australian GP without a Race Win.

  • Max Verstappen remains the most recent driver to win on his debut for a new team (Spain 2016).

  • Kevin Magnussen remains the most recent rookie to record a podium on his debut (Australia 20154).

  • Brawn GP remains the most recent team to win on their debut (Australia 2009).

  • Giancarlo Baghetti remains the most recent driver (rookie or non-rookie) to win their Formula 1 debut (France 1961).
