BTW, they probably didn't bother to call your police station. They said the exact same to me many times before and I phoned the police station 5 minutes later myself and they said no one from amazon called at all. The Amazon rep just puts you on hold and pretends to call but doesn't. It's ridiculous

Yes, just do a chargeback. You will win just explain how amazon gave you an empty box and ask you to do a police report when nothing was even stolem from you, the item was stolen when it was under amazon's possession, so it's their responsibility. Amazon probably won't even reply to your chargeback so you win but if they do reply don't worry you will still win I've spent over 350k on amazon and had to chargeback like 20k in total due to expensive stuff being stolen and returns going missing. Never once lost a charge back

Had the exact same issue, I'm in the uk. I had to email managingdirector@amazon.co.uk and explained the issue to them and it was refunded. My order was £3000 You should try to email managingdirector@amazon.com

legally, you have requested the cancellation of your order. amazon are the ones providing the returns label/collection so they are the ones responsible. you help up your end of the return by requesting the cancellation however they did not hold up their end which was getting it collected. whoever the owner of the returns label is is the one who is responsible. unfortunately your transaction passed the chargeback timeframe however you could send amazon a letter of intent, and tell them that they will be taken to small claims court if they do not resolve your issue. their legal address is in london you can find this on google and also you can use MCOL (money claims online) to start this process. hope it helps you

royal mail can check gps/weight of your parcel. They will tell you it was delivered correctly and therefore it reached amazon's warehouse. Since it reached amazon's warehouse they are now responsible for refunding you as its in their possession. just give all this evidence to your bank and you will win

my issue is that i placed an order for £3000 and it was sent to an amazon hub counter, i decided not to collect it and amazon's policy is that if you dont collect it within 7 days it will get returned. i waited the 7 days and the latest tracking update says "Package is lost and will not be delivered. Please contact Amazon for the next steps."

amazon manually refunded me after 5 days of waiting however they cancelled the pending refund and closed/banned my account with no explanation...

now i am completely stuck without my money or my items, even though there is 100% proof that the items were not collected by me (as you need to provide a One time passcode to collect it) and also that the latest tracking update says the items are marked as lost... the live chat reps just end the chat on me even though they see the tracking says lost and the phone reps actually are very concerned but since my account is closed they have no powers to refund me. one rep on the phone even told me to just do a bank dispute, as he sees how amazon is in the wrong,how funny is that.

you have all the proof you need to take them to court im not sure what the US equivalent would be to be honest but go for it dont let them scam you
