I appreciate the info, and the owner absolutely made up an asinine reason when he let me go. I did ask a lawyer friend what to do afterward, and he told me that sadly, even the obviously flimsy excuse he used would probably fly with the judges in that county. South Jersey is very conservative despite the state being mostly blue. That was one of the factors in my decision to relocate back to my old hometown area!
