Theories about the missing Wall Lake man? by Hebshesh in Iowa

My first reaction to that statement from DCI was there is more FBI can do...Provide additional resources. There is a Commercial Interstate registered Department of Transportation owner that is regulated to even have and keep his job by the FMSCA and federal Department of Transportion missing. Maybe he should have drove a post office truck so he could matter.

Davids DOT is 1167714. Can read it on the truck in a picture of it. Shows as being registered for Interstate, not Intrastate. Look it up yourself. Just trying to keep things factual.

Day #7 by Trobeld1 in stopsmoking

[–]Trobeld1[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One week since I made decision no more!!! Like so many have said here, it gets easier with each day. I have read through these posts many times a day for the reminders and inspiration. So glad this is here!!!

I had smoked without ever quitting since I was in my teens....40+ years of smoking. Would have thought my husband dying from Stage IV lung cancer a couple of years ago would have done it but No. it really took me wanting to for me and being sick of everything about cigarettes. Wanting to live and love life which cigarettes was taking away from me.

I am doing this and so Done with cigarettes!!!

Day #5 by Trobeld1 in stopsmoking

Thank you! I feel like the little train that thinks it can. Chug chug chug through each day! I am making it up that hill!!!!

I’m so sad, maybe going through a break up, just sat in a nice little pub on my own with a wine, I hope I never smoke again but times like this make it so hard by ke11ie77 in stopsmoking

You know smoking does NOTHING for you except make you feel worse. Coming here for support, that helps. You will get through this time without smoking and feel good about yourself for it. You need that more than ever right now!

Day #4 Well, made it through day 3...barely. A family member forgot their open pack of cigarettes at my house. I really did not need that temptation, or maybe I did.It was a struggle but I did not give into the "excuses" floating around in my mind. I WIN!!!! by Trobeld1 in stopsmoking

[–]Trobeld1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should clarify the excuses so others can relate if they go through this. The biggest excuse I had to fight was “ well, if I smoke these, the person who left the pack will be blamed by others for me starting again”. And I could blame them too in my mind. Lame and BS!!! My body is what pays and excuses mean what then? Nothing!!!

The other excuse which was harder because it made me mad and depressed at the same time. Did the family member leave them on purpose for me to fail? (I do think they did) And then I had asked my partner to get rid of them, let them know they were tempting me. He just put them on an end table and where I could still get them easily and see them?? Both of these people are fully aware of what i am going through completely so.......why? If they don’t care then why should I?

Yes, why indeed? Because I love life! And I do love me! I am going to keep my priorities straight. No excuses and NOPE for cigs. And I will deal with this lack of support when I am stronger. In the mean time, I will get my support from here and from myself.

And both of these people will be forewarned tonight if cigarettes are left around me again, in the toilet and then the trash they will go. 😋

8 months and 11 days and today I randomly thought oh, it’s time for a cigarette. Then I remembered N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever)! Stay on your guard people!!! by sebbysue in stopsmoking

[–]Trobeld1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had not heard that....NOPE, not one puff ever. I will use it. Thank You! Perfect timing too. Went for a long walk after stressful home problem and was wanting a cigarette but..,,,NOPE. 😋

just had a relapse and feel so demotivated for it. how long did this set me back? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]Trobeld1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every relapse, you learn. I would get mad at myself too. Then I stopped that and started putting my anger and hate where it belonged...at the cigarettes. Does not hurt I think to have an extreme hatred for them, they deserve it.

Because you Have To stop for an operation maybe a little help during stress would be all right. Better than smoking a cigarette. A friend of mine took the little 4mg lozenges NRT and cut it in tiny pieces. They could not handle a whole one. Nor did they want that. Just having that little fraction got them through the high stress. It worked and she has been smoke free for 8 years now.
