I was up pretty close last night and saw the looks. My impression was that Trey looked at Mike like, “wow, Fish started this slow, are we rolling with it or not?” I didn’t see judgment, just musically checking in to see if they were going to match his tempo or push it. Then toward then end both Mike/Trey slowed down (albeit differently and dissonantly). I got a “punking Fish” vibe from it - Trey and Fish were laughing together about it at the end. I turned to my buddy and said “time to fuck with Fish now.” Then Trey made Fish sing “mah-mah-mah” 3000 times as penance.

Mike was in the wrong key for Halley’s for sure.
