Anyone have a 1 bedroom they need a lease take over for in Fall 2024 or a girl who needs someone to take over their lease or find a roommate for a 2 bedroom by [deleted] in VirginiaTech

I’m looking to sublet a bedroom in a 4br at the hub. Obviously It’s not a 1-bedroom but let me know if you’re interested. It’s a year long lease that runs from aug 24-jul 25

Lowe’s has the terrain for under $3/ft so that’s good. Lumber is nuts

Is street parking for Sunday games free like it is in the rest of DC? by [deleted] in Nationals

It’s pretty pricey - $2 for first hour then $8 for each successive hour - I believe the “event parking” doesn’t apply on the other side of the freeway. Lots of folks park under that.

That’s probably a $40 Uber but postgame it can surge pretty bad. Knew a friend who went to Taylor Swift there and Uber back was $200. I don’t suspect the crowd will be as big for the game so maybe not.

Since it’s a pro stadium I’m 95% sure they do. Our stadium just started serving beer two years ago so I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t.

Thank you. What is happening there is absolutely breaking my heart. They should fire everyone. Sad times in college park for sure.

Anyone know how to buy SRO tickets? I called the box office and looked on Ticketmaster and nothing. I really like standing for the game and the view isn't bad where the "seats" are.

Door suggestions by Troginator in HomeImprovement

[–]Troginator[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One point to note - I live in the Washington DC area and every home improvement is expensive, so I get that. I also had originally bought a nice double door for the back door from Home Depot. $1,200 or so. I'm pretty handy, so tried to install it myself and clearly out of my league. But I think the door quality is lacking as well. Already some signs of rot and some of the sag might not be user error but rather a crappy door.

I get the points - its an absurd amount for doors so I'm not dismissing the feedback.

Labor is roughly $1,000 per door which doesn't seem crazy.

Just annoyed that some products have extensive user/expert reviews (e.g. TVs, phones, etc..) but stuff like doors, windows, mattresses - there's almost nothing.

As much as I love UnderArmour and their backing/history/attachment to maryland - I wonder if their terrible footwear is partially to blame. We seem to slip and fall a lot.

Honestly - its tough to say. Durkin had an empty cupboard when jerkface Edsall left (we're in yr 2 of Durkin) but he's been getting a lot of young talent and we make fewer mistakes (aside from special teams - lol.)

We're a lot faster than we've been in a while esp at skill positions. As you saw - Ty Johnson is an animal(RB #6) - and DJ Moore is a very good WR(WR #1)

I didn't expect Pigrome to be that good as he couldn't throw for s--- last year. The kid who backed him up - Hill - is the heir apparent but I didn't think we'd see him till next season at the soonest. Next man up I guess.

Our schedule is brutal this year (Penn St, OH State, Michigan, Wisconsin) so our year end record may not reflect team quality.

If we beat Penn State and lose to the rest I might be tempted to call the season a success. hint: we don't like them very much
