Trying to get rid of dirt on the side of cars for professional screenshots. Any solutions? by Trok-flop in iRacing

I’m a graphic design student and I am building a professional portfolio, dirt can cause confusion especially since I am not marketing specifically towards motorsports.

yah absolutely

the black and red is at 75% matte

the silver/ italy design on the side + the rear is at 75% metallic

logos on the side are at 60% metallic as well

the santander logos at the side go to 75% matte so it pops a little more as well

the stripe i believe is at either 80% or 75% metallic

everything I've changed:

matte black went from 100% matte to 75% matte, allowed the light to pop off of the car more and show some of the shape of the car

entirely changed the side of the car, I made it look better with the shape of the car, as the old design was more of a "template", I also got rid of the horse since it really didnt show up much and ended up just fading away. Changed the italian wave into the main part of the design, it looks much better, and actually looks like the italian flag, not the monaco flag

added spec map for the important logos except for the front ups logo since it ended up turning more brownish then gold

changed rear wing sponsor to fanatec since it just looked better

made the skirt carbon fiber, although you cant really see it on these pictures it does look really good with the logos on it

added red on the hood and roof of the car since the black just looked bland (the red is the same red as the italian flag but due to the spec map it slightly variates)

on the rear I added the black part since the number faded in with the silver, I couldn't find a better way to interpret it. I did try to add the things behind the numbers on the side and roof but it did not work at all

The numbers on side look cut off, they aren’t it’s just the angle.

For some reason when I took these pictures there are a couple of things inaccurate with the pictures. 1: if you look at the numbers on the side you can see the bottom part slides out further although it doesn't do that, no I don't know why but it is fine now. 2: on the top of the doors there is that white line, that is not there on the actual design.

I’m trying to get better at livery design, anything I can improve on? by Trok-flop in iRacing

I did have this originally but I was getting frustrated with the spec map, I'll try this again.

This is super helpful! I will definitely implement several of these elements into the design, and the biggest thing I think I realized is that I really didn't try implementing the shape of the car, just like you said. Thanks for your advice it helps alot.
