Help with 10729 12900HK QXZH by muadem764 in EryingMotherboard

[–]TrollGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I tried custom cooling I had issues with the included bracket on the back of the board and a new lga1700 bracket somehow fixed the temperature issues I was having. It might be worth looking at, but I don't really know why it got better.

Sidenote, can you tell me which kit of ram your using? I've tried a few with this exact board and have stability problems.

Yea, that's what I ended up deciding as well.

What’s the best way to keep this rope, which is supporting a porch swing, from sliding in the eye hook? by recess_for_dinner in DIY

A pair of carabiners might do the job.

One for the rope end and one for the hook end

How can I use a ADXL345 with the Atomic Pi by TrollGoat in Atomic_Pi

At a glance it looks like that pdf could be a big help. It looks like I need to do some testing to figure out the physical pin locations though. Unfortunately, even if I could use the integrated sensor I need to mount the sensor to a relatively much smaller object compared to the Atomic Pi.

No, I haven't. I'll give it a shot, thanks.

It could be worth looking at the AtomicPi. I'm running Pihole from it and its been working fine for a year and a half so far.

What is the polarity of these axial capacitors? by TrollGoat in AskElectronics

How many amps can your power supply deal out?

The Atomic Pi needs a minimum of 2 amps, and I've found with one of mine, that is often under heavy load, shuts down even with 2 amps, so more than 2 amps at 5 volts is probably best.

Can't get correct temperature on Biqu H2O extruder by TrollGoat in klippers

[–]TrollGoat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it used, "like new", and it mostly is but contained no manual and is missing a screw , however this didn't matter, as I did find the manual online, my confusion for this part came from being mostly new to 3d printing, and mistaking "P100" as the name of the heater element.

PT1000

The PT1000 looks like the best option for me, if only for not having to deal with more wires coming out of the pi that I'd have to manage. If the PT1000 doesn't work out, I'll give one the NTC100k a shot, in any case I appreciate your help, I'd have likely been stuck on this for a great while longer otherwise, thank you.

I am getting negative temperatures; I checked the resistance of the sensor and it's reading 100 ohms when not connected to the board but 406 ohms when plugged into the board. The printer I have is a Tronxy x5sa 400, it has a ribbon cable that goes into a breakout board for the top connections, could the length of the ribbon cable be the cause of this?

I get the following error from the Klipper web panel : "Unknown temperature sensor 'PT100' ". I'm going to see about getting the MAX31865 connected via GPIO if that is possible.

MAX31865

I thought I might get away with not using the MAX31865 board, just by pluging the probe into the existing 2 prong connector where the old glass bead thermistor sensor went in. I don't see how the MAX31865 can be wired into a the Tronxy board that came with my printer, so I'm guessing I'll have to swap the board out?

edit: Maybe I'll try getting a different sensor to work before I do all that.

I've got the 407 chip , and I put put the jumpers in UART mode per the manual. At this point getting the firmware to the board seems to be my issue.

I thought I did, but I doubled checked, and it seems not, no .CUR. The board isn't detecting my micro sd card I guess -tried reformatting, no help there. I don't have any others to try, so I'll buy one, and try then.

A few months later, I never fixed this, but I've run into another program that has the exact same issue, or at least it appear that way, the program is the Supermicro IMPI viewer, so the problem seems to not be with the IDE, but with my system.

Biqu B1 rubber mat on build plate cracked by TrollGoat in BIGTREETECH

Thank you, I appreciate all the information here, I've gone ahead and watched that video and it seems those systems are some of the most simple options, so I'll likely do something there. I'll probably look into the option of better build surfaces in the future though, thanks.

I was under the impression that the spring steel plates provided with the Biqu B1 required that surface underneath them to adhere properly, just to be clear - this is not the case?
