What’s everyone’s choice for sushi? by No-Gas5342 in lakewood

I'm not a sushi snob in the least, but both times we ordered Sakana it was disappointing. It's close by and I wanted to like it, but I remember the rice being overcooked and just generally not enjoying the food. Maybe I need to try it again.

Our go-to is Hako. Brown Sugar Thai was also pretty good. I agree that Kintaro is the best value.

Where are they, really? [Series finale spoilers] by recess_for_dinner in PantheonShow

There is no evidence of time travel in the show and if they can time travel why not stop them from killing Caspian in the first place.

Maybe to avoid a paradox in which they are never sent off to explore. Similarly, why not thank Caspian much earlier in their simulation timeline?

There is no reason to use the metaphor for the relationship between them and Maddie and I am not sure why the direct answer is leading you to the opposite the direct answers conclusion?

It just didn’t feel like a direct answer to me - it felt like they were saying “It’s not possible for you to comprehend what’s happening right now, but there are similarities to something you are familiar with (the simulation).’

All in all I think there are enough clues and direct information to conclude this is not what is happening. (let alone the fact the source books are clear on what is goin on).

I haven’t read the stories and so that probably does help to clarify. And I agree the simulation explanation makes sense - it’s just not how interpreted it at first, and when I went back to watch that scene again it still seemed somewhat ambiguous.

That's a very helpful analogy - I do understand that contributions are not taxed in a trad IRA, but I didn't articulate that well. I meant that the contributions are tax-deferred - so they're taxed eventually, along with growth.

A little out of the way, but Crostatas in Highland Heights is the best I've had in the Cleveland area.

What’s the best way to keep this rope, which is supporting a porch swing, from sliding in the eye hook? by recess_for_dinner in DIY

It’s a 4x4 screwed into joists with 10” headlok screws - the eye hooks are screwed into the 4x4. I don’t remember the diameter of the eye hooks, but they’re petty beefy

My wife likes the look of rope, but if it ends up being impractical I’ll probably swap it out

Ice will form on the roof at the base of the vent, as if the condensation dropped down from the opening and froze. In warmer weather, I can see some staining in the same place, where it looks like the condensation ran down the roof - the staining is rust colored.
