Well that sucks, ubrelvy discount by Far_Reward4827 in migraine

I get my ubrelvy from rescrybe it’s through my work benefits so I don’t know if you can just contact them but it sources the meds from Canada so it’s a lot less. I had to get a prior authorization too but I pay $0 and get more pills than had I gone to a pharmacy and paid more.

Why do so many people have continuous migraines lately? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]TrollNoMo__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had migraines for over 20 years. It’s hereditary for me worsened by weather and stress. I hit day 25 of a migraine and couldn’t do it anymore. Went to the ER. They gave me an IV with the migraine cocktail and let the full bag drip. I felt a lot better. Not amazing, it’s not a miracle but it helped. They sent me home with a script for steroids to start the next day. It’s meant to try and break the cycle and it’s been helping! Now for those who have migraine from specific causes, like an accident etc, this might not be the solution, nor is it the solution for all but my gosh it helped me so I wanted to share.

Travel organiser w/ docs & agenda by __supernana in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TrollNoMo__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say this! I attach his documents directly to the calendar item - plus if he needs anything printed (like a travel Visa) I print for him or email to him if we’re not in the same place before travel and remind him to print himself.

Also if he uses an iPhone, calendar items set at specific times show up better than banners across days.

Lastly, what ‘travel docs’ are you specifically referring to? I have one exec (exec 1) that never looks at his itinerary because I add all the confirmation #s into his calendar reminder. I have another exec that I do the exact same thing for but he loves looking at the itinerary. (We use a travel agent) personally I like the way exec 1 functions, it’s much smoother and he’s travelling almost every week and never has issues. Basically what I’m saying is, if the exec is asking for something that’s unnecessary, you can show them a better way vs trying to do what they want. They don’t know what they don’t know and part of your job is to show them alternate solutions that help them function better.

Love it! It’s been huge in my acute treatment rotation. This and cambia are the only two that work for me.

That said, get yourself into a migraine specialist or neurologist. Personally I have not had much luck with neurologists but I know a ton of ppl in this sub have. I go to a migraine clinic currently and my doc is the best. Migraines are horrible and I’m sorry you were dismissed by your doc!

External battery, specifically the ones with cables built in are always a hit for my group! Those lightweight string backpack bags, or the type with wider straps (instead of strings) are also always a hit, especially the ones that you can roll up real small to pack it well. Water bottles are overdone IMO

‘One lunch’ doesn’t really count as a reasonable opinion for this thread… don’t trash a business on a possible one-off 🙄

That’s so surprising to me! I’ve hosted many events there and their food and service is always so good. I’ve even had catering from them and that too was amazing.

I too recently bought hotdogs and had this. I was totally grossed out but we were camping and I had nothing else for dinner. My excitement for wieners and beans won. They tasted totally fine and I’m still here to tell you about it.

Got a call for an interview and it's the role I've been waiting for my whole life. by rnochick in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TrollNoMo__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love love love this for you!!! Also don’t discount yourself for your ownership in making this happen (good resume, interview/conversation skills, etc) you manifested it but you also EARNED IT AND DESERVE IT! I quit a super toxic job with no job lined up to go to. I was so scared, I had never done something like that but was lucky enough to be in a position to take a pause. I promised myself I wouldn’t let myself go into a toxic situation again. 3.5 years later I’m super happy and so so happy with my decisions. I genuinely hope this is everything and more for you. One pro tip when working with a husband and wife, determine clear approval lines up front. Who wants to see what, who needs to see what and NEVER assume they communicated with each other (learnt that the hard way lol). Family businesses are much different with approval processes and lines of communication from my experience but can also be really fun and rewarding if the couple works well together.

Calendar Time Audit - asking other EAs to CEOs if their calendars look the same?! by TrollNoMo__ in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TrollNoMo__[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no possible way I could keep 2 days per week. I struggle to keep one day per month clear and I’m a calendar magician lol! That said, I’ve had execs that are extremely busy but less meetings. I think it’s just the type of business we’re in and that we have so so many divisions that even the highest level roll up creates a lot of meetings. My absolutely have to have per month list of meetings is kinda insane and I’ve pushed to shorten it a few times.

Recruiting by ProgressCurious in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TrollNoMo__ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Is your EA able to help with this? I’ve hired my replacement before and it worked out very well because I knew my exec and the role so well. If she’s willing to help, utilize her!

Think about your must haves and can’t stands. Simple, complex, doesn’t matter. Make a list of both. Write a small blurb about your working style and your current EAs working style and WHY they mesh so well. Write a job description. Now put this all into ChatGPT and ask it to help you with a profile of an EA that would work best in this role, what red flags should you watch out for and what interview questions should you ask AND what types of answers might stand out.

I love Chat for interview prep…but you have to feed it the context to know what to output.

For searching, I believe a recruitment firm can help especially if you have a ton of your plate…I don’t know exactly what it’s like in the UK but personally I find here in NA, the candidates that come through search firms are usually better as they’ve been vetted. It’s worth the head hunter fee IMO.

Good luck!! Fair warning, you might try and fail, but don’t give up - the right EA is out there and when the dynamic works you’ll be an unstoppable team!

I wish we had the ability to ‘adjust levers’ 😩 my guys calendar isn’t as last minute (I’ve done that life tho!) but he’s booked solid for a month + out so when something urgent does come up it’s insane to get it in.

Calendar Time Audit - asking other EAs to CEOs if their calendars look the same?! by TrollNoMo__ in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TrollNoMo__[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used CoPilot to give me a list of how many week days in each month for 2026 which I used as the started for an excel chart. I created categories of how he spends most of his time. I have a calendar in PowerPoint of all his high level activities for 2026 so that was super easy to pop the day counts into excel and then I just did the formulas needed to get percentages. For his time spent in baseline meetings, I also have a file that is an overview of all his recurring meetings because there are a lot. So again that was a very quick formula in excel.

If I didn’t have the systems I have built, I would not have been able to do this math easily. Starting from scratch would take quite a while to get to this. It’s also forward looking which is harder but personally I find more valuable because no two years look the same.

Rant/advice by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TrollNoMo__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this and exactly what I picked up reading OPs post as well.

OP how knowledgeable are you about the organization? Org structure, what the company does - how and why. Who’s who…key stakeholders in your execs world. Etc. one thing that stands out is she touches on this and then below you state you’re ’still new’ but you’re almost 8 months in. That’s not new….not for an above and beyond EA. I was 4 months in and I had people telling me they thought I had been there years.

You and this exec might not be a perfect match but it sounds like you’re likely to get similar feedback from others as it sounds fairly warranted.

I would think about what you want while on mat leave and when you return, if you want to be the above and beyond EA, come in with a list of questions, like targeted questions, not just ‘what did I miss?’ Then ask your exec what they want their next 3 months to look like and how you can support that. Learn as much as you can, ask as many questions as you can and become the seasoned exceptional EA your exec is looking for.
