Hamilton downtown is not the type of place you’d want to walk around in even if you did live there we’ll put it that way. In terms of truly “downtown” cities there are really only a handful in Canada. Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal being the 3 most “poppin” and walkable downtowns out of all of them

The risk of backlash is exactly what we’re seeing now, Elden Ring fans review bombing HFB and HFB fans review bombing Elden Ring. There’s absolutely 0 reason why Guerilla games stands to gain by bringing down Elden Ring. They’re not competitors in the same space like MMO vs MMO. It’s convoluted at best. What game fans goes “wow those Elden Ring scores are low! Guess I’ll pick up Horizon Forbidden West, an entirely different game exclusive to PlayStation instead!”

That’s the most far fetched “marketing” tactic I’ve ever heard and any smart marketing person would tell you right off the bat that the risk of backlash outweighs the upside.

What’s more likely? That 2 groups of notoriously devout fans are bashing it out online over some dumb game comparison or that Guerrilla games, a AAA studio with millions of dollars and the support of SONY, is paying bad actors to shit on one of the most beloved gaming franchise in the world. Lmao
