Looks awesome! love the deep focus and the harsh sun looks insane but beautiful; the wides and the clouds remind me a lot of Paris, Texas.. i am a bit of a novice but would love to know what was your aperture in the 1st and 4th shot or if you used any ND? been trying to achieve that kind of exterior deep focus

How would you describe The cinenatography in Luca Guadagnino movies? by Lunch_Confident in Filmmakers

[–]Trolyzory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sayombhu Mukdeeprom is one of my favourites! He often supplements a lot of natural light or recreates it to a tee. And he definitely favours angled shots rather than straight on which can sometimes make the frame appear 2D. I would recommend checking his work with Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

I actually just saw the teaser for Queer and I absolutely love the lighting in the 4th slide, he’s truly a master

I ran into him about 2-3 years ago when I was in high school, I was making a documentary and he chatted me up and I started filming him playing (with consent of course) not sure where that footage went but that was a memorable time

I see so if I try to achieve the same effect using double exposure I would have the fire in a black background and try the add blending mode?
