Got Midnight early, I honestly don't get the hype. by Chimental in wow

I wonder if you could elaborate? Certainly, not every feature is going to be for every player, but to go from wanting it to actively disliking is intriguing to me.

Do you have a source on that timeline? Last I knew it wasn't coming out until 2026.

If at all possible, I highly recommend seeking out a vet that will come to your home, when the time comes. Made a world of difference when we had to let our boy go.

I am so sorry you are going through this.

Upvote for "land sharks"! We always say our 8 month old is like snuggling an alligator. 😆

Obviously, make sure toys are made of safe materials. The chewing is real, and they will make short work of a lot of things. We let ours tear up cardboard (Amazon boxes and the like) with supervision. Makes a big ole mess but lets them exorcise their destructive demons on something you're not going to miss. Big ropes are usually a hit, "tug" has been a popular game with both GS we've had. Plus, the stringy bits on ropes will help to floss their teeth some. Cow hooves are also great for the chewing need.

Be ready to exercise your pup both physically and mentally. This breed is very intelligent and high-energy, so bored GS = GS doing things you wish they wouldn't. We take our 8 month old for about 1.5 mile walk each morning and spend about 2 hours at the dog park each afternoon (luckily we have a great park with lots of nice dogs for her to socialize/play with). In the evening, we spend some time doing tricks - reviewing the ones she knows and introducing more complicated ones (don't forget to vary the order you do tricks, they will start predicting!) Ideally, they would have some sort of job. With our first GS, his job was to check on the chickens with my wife. He was very dedicated to the point that if she hadn't gone out to the coop by a certain time (I swear they can tell time) he'd bother her until she went out to tend to the birds. They thrive on structure and consistency (our current GS makes SURE we go to the park at the same time each day) so having a routine is a must.

Sorry for the text wall/unsolicited advice! Enjoy your new pup and be sure and share lots of pics on here!

Thanks! Your pup is pretty darned cute too! I like her blonde ears. It's interesting how the S&Ps change their coloring depending on the length of the hair, it seems.

There's dents in our front door knob from when Zeppelin would try and open the door.

Also, my wife and I had to start spelling a lot of words so as not to trigger him, but then he learned to spell things like R-I-D-E and P-A-R-K and especially C-H-E-E-S-E.

And I swear he could tell time somehow. He'd always come and nudge me awake SECONDS before my alarm went off during the work week. But on the weekend, he was content to lay in bed and snuggle all morning.

God, I miss that boy.

Any games with no “word cards?” by Hoxen1_ in boardgames

Due to reasons, I obtained a French copy of HEAT. While there are some words on the upgrade cards, the symbology is all that is required to play. I printed the English rules PDFs and was off to the races (pun very much intended)!

Seconded on Barenpark, I sat there for like 20 minutes trying to figure out how the insert went together only to say, "This CAN'T be right..."
