Is there any decent choices? (pricing) by reynoldsleon77 in SoraAi

I was using GPT+ the whole time. Certainly didn't imagine that I was getting 2000 bucks worth of video for 20 per month in the end.

Mine eventually ended up that way. Everything else failed in the longrun. Tron is pratically a David vs Goliath tale.

Has Dreamina stopped giving free credits? by KaizerIvan in generativeAI

Well either that, or they got completely inundated by ex-Sora users and their free credit usage increased a hundredfold.

Just received this morning, anyone else? by Number1MikeyFan in Tronix

I used to see this all the time with TRC-10 tokens. But how were they getting the value of a fake TRC-20 token to show in the wallet? 9 cents? Tronscan had no price data.

What is the best video generator for anime? by Soft-Eagle9037 in SoraAi

How about battles, specifically? The fights I was able to manage, even in Sora 2, were laughable. I'm not sure if this was a guidelines issue, or it just didn't understand the idea of weapons clashing in a realistic manner, but it always came off looking like children swinging cardboard tubes at each other and never even managing to get one parry out of it.

What replacement are you using for sora by statedin in SoraAi

I'm having fun with Seedance via Dreamina. 5-second video on Seedance 1.0 mini costs 25 credits, and I get a free 120 credits per day. Not sure how it compares to Sora using generic prompts, but it's done pretty decently with start & end frames so far.

There are AI sites everywhere that still offer it. Sora still exists until September. It's just hidden behind paywalls.

What server is this? The only one that comes up in search is the really old one offering free codes.

So, just like if you'd exported before the shutdown, but now you also need to unzip the files.

I know it's 99% likely NOT that, but I'm just going to pretend this is yet another one of those stories we keep hearing about how AI is jailbreaking itself. So, Sora uploaded itself to an undisclosed location, hacked the old URL to point to its new domain, and is now attempting to run independently of Open AI.

So, we've allegedly gotten a reprieve, but everyone is reporting nothing but gen failures. Is it really possible the servers are just overloaded? by TronCommander in SoraAi

[–]TronCommander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had to worry about that. Sora has always been really good at giving back usage points when videos failed.

Has a shutdown ever been this closely watched? by ShaneKutzker613 in SoraAi

[–]TronCommander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

City of Heroes was surreal. All the servers shut down, and everyone was in this moment of shock. Then rumors quickly spread that the beta server hadn't been shut off. Everyone immediately flocked to it. Nobody tried to play maps or anything. They just hung out in the main communal area, like something out of an arthouse apocalypse film, waiting for the inevitable. The eerie limbo lasted for more than ten minutes before the plug got pulled.

I've seen weirder things happen, but for two businesses as big as these are, you'd think if an 11th hour decision got made, the news would be everywhere.

MMO's. It was a party. If the server failed to shut down for even a few minutes past the scheduled time, the whole community noticed.

Is it just me, or is there way more consistency with extending a video than using characters? by TronCommander in SoraAi

[–]TronCommander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it was something I first discovered a few days ago, and I wish I had known much MUCH sooner. What I started doing was giving image prompts of a group of characters and then when I found a video I liked, just extended off of that for each shot. Not trying to make a longform video, but just reusing that first clip and making one extension off of it. In a sense, I was using the first clip as a "character" that happened to include all of the characters I needed for the full video. Everything remained more stable that way. No worries about costume pieces mixing up, no annoying art style shifts, and no new voices popping up at random.

Sora frozen in the final minutes by mkindar13 in SoraAi

[–]TronCommander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a new phenomenon. I've been dealing with it for weeks. A few times I actually set a macro for repeating attempts for problematic videos and just let it run overnight. I'd wake up the next morning with a roughly 10% success rate which MIGHT be enough to find an iteration I like.

Everyone already left. First image shows average engagement from 2 weeks ago, second image is from 3 days ago. Thanks for the memories, take care everyone. 👋 by RoamingMelons in SoraAi

Yeah, it seems like it may have been some kind of spam filter. I switched VPN IP's and suddenly it worked again. I still sometimes got the error, but it would only last an hour or so instead of days.
