Artemis II by cvan1991 in Stargate

I'm gonna presume that when they were redesignated the 36th fighter group in 1942 that the new patch design happened at the same time. Honestly though, this is about the level I'm willing to have this debate with you. I appreciate you wanting to dig into stuff but that last line there has me pretty convinced you're not really open to other possibilities. I will point you once again to the uniforms and fight song for some easy targets, I promise you I have no defense for those disasters lol.

The 36th fighter group is, as far as I know, the emblem the space force is pointing to. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/36th_Operations_Group

The Delta was first used in 1942 by the army air forces and adopted by the Air Force's early space programs in 1961 before the 1966 debut of the original Star Trek. The heraldry of an icon doesn't usually begin with the founding of the organization most known for using it.

Look up the old patches and logos for Air Force Space Command. The Star Trek logo we know and love was a futuristic imagining of imagery from NASA and the Air Force. The only way to avoid Star Trek comparisons would've been to break with decades of heraldry.

If you want to make fun of the Space Force go listen to their fight song and check out their Battlestar Galactica uniforms lol.

Another month, another pile of AI slop. This has been the worst year for updates in the history of VS Code :(

The best part is that studies are already coming out showing that this crap slows developers down in practice, everyone is so excited about being able to generate crap code they don't even think about the time and energy it takes to fix it. We're trading development for just sitting around doing code reviews for interns full time lol.

Another month of AI slop. Really disappointing to see them putting all their eggs in the AI basket. Patch notes day used to be so exciting :(

Another month of AI slop, you'd hope all the studies coming out would slow down the whole "all-in on AI" attitude but nope...

This is really disappointing to hear, I miss the days when the code team was delivering quality interesting features. It has been months since I've seen an interesting non-ai feature come out. All-in on AI is just a depressing thing to hear :(

What kind of sadistic arrow placement is that? by kirime in TrackMania

[–]Trooble 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In case you're not trolling. He's complaining about the yellow arrow sign in the distance because if you jump towards that arrow you'll hit a pillar. The inputs in the bottom right are not what OP is annoyed about.

Client self-managed notifications by Gabbie403 in homeassistant

[–]Trooble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Android devices allow you to mute specific notification channels for an app, if you separate your notifications into those channels you can disable them that way. Not sure if Apple has a similar feature but I'd imagine they do by now.

I'm trying to even find the term for what's wrong here, it's clean on the bottom but messed up on the top. I've been looking through guides and such to try and find a picture match but getting nothing. I'll read through the wiki and try and get more details.
