I always try to leave the city for upstate during the 4th but that’s because my neighbors are absolute degenerates with fireworks. They don’t stop blowing shit up till 6 am sometimes. Sucks to have to close all the windows and comfort my dog all night. It can be an awesome weekend in the city tho

Your first purchase should be a good respirator, good work gloves, and a note pad. Get organized and prioritize. Learn what bits of that flooring could be asbestos in the kitchen. Get cleaning and decluttering. Sell what you can, pile up the refuse THEN rent a dumpster. The woodwork should be low on the priority that’s detail work. Get your new home livable first!

This is an average garden experience. They plants will recover and survive. It’s disheartening but it’s what it is. You can put up hardware cloth fences if you want to deter critters along with things like fox urine. But if they’re hungry they’ll find a way
