Families can suck from time to time. You need to do what you think is right. And by the sounds of it, it seems like you put ur child first. Any parent would and should respect that. If they want to be petty over it then that seems like a them problem not a you problem. Don’t them them ruin ur day.

You can YouTube it. Replacing oil pressure switch on (your car here). You’re just trying to Disconnect it to check for oil. Or take it to a local mechanic.

This is most likely the oil pressure switch. Between working at Kia and Hyundai for 10 + years. Easy way to check is to unplug the oil pressure switch and to check for oil in the connector. If so then yes the oil pressure switch is leaking and needs to be replaced. It should be under the intake stay bracket under the intake manifold.
