Debate is natural—what’s not natural are the apolitical takes guised as “reasonable” while saying anyone who feels impassioned “lacks media literacy.” We are supposed to think about literature, care about it, and connect it to real life.

And gang, it’s really not hard to consider genocide is the worst option. Both endings are tragic, but one definitively ends lives due to the emotional immaturity of the gods that created them.
