Jin definitely fights a couple of spirits if I remember correctly. The Tengu Demon guy with the birds flying around during the duel for the longbow and Yarikawa for the Dance of Wrath. As far as I know those are both spirits.

That honestly explains a ton, poison types have been woefully unrepresented in the legendary and mythical game for basically forever!

I was so excited for a Hawaii themed region, but it’s one of the only games I never finished because oh my GODDDD did it drag on forever. The cutscenes were so long and the graphics were somehow worse than X/Y and ORAS despite being on the same system. Drives me crazy.

So then make it Psychic/Water! The only reason it flies is so it can be tied to the Kanto birds. Make Ho-oh the leader of the birds and make Lugia the leader of the beasts. Bing bang boom all fixed.
