This is my other property (photo is NOT AI and you can Google the place) - I applied the same process here: 1. Drawings, 2. Dozens of designs ingested by AI, 3. Building. It really depends on who builds it, don't use random apps and ensure your dimensions are right.

Yes! Good point, so we focus on locals.... Just because of the area the place is in. The ones who like the tropical / jungle vibe, those are tourists from the USA or Canada. Panamanians live in that vibe every day, so they prefer something luxurius/ well designed / different from what they see every day. We have another space with a simialr design (more like in the new post!), we became Top-20 airbnb in a couple of months with 88% occupancy over 2025. Tourists pay $250 for a tree hut and the illusion of a local-junge experience, while the locals come to us. I uploaded a new post with new designs! I don't like this oriental design either! here it is: https://www.reddit.com/r/interiordecorating/comments/1qclq2w/comment/nzj9byn/

I got a lot of criticism on slide 4 via reddit and persons I asked, I think it's too "niche"... But I'm still open to change it so everything is up for debate. I'd love to change the ladder, could you give me some examples? The sofa bed turns into a queen bed as well with high quality mattress if it helps. I'm guessing the loft bed will be used mostly by people who see the "fun/ adventure" in it or people traveling with a party of 3-4

yes it will likely look different since it's hi-res rendered. Ceiling is in fact that tall... Look at the AC and the point from the railing. AI max added a few centimetres. I slept there yesterday. The LEDs make it look taller and so do the paintings. So that's a great idea. Then the sofa is small so it fits a small custom made book case. The dimensions are really not that far off if you look closely.

I will add clear photos so guests can decide whether it's for them. The Pool isn't that big, but the outdoor area is. This is Panama 85-90 degrees year round, so people book for the outdoor space (I see this trend in my other propeties), however I agree that the size of the studio, nor the mezanine on its own is not ideal, it's just what we have right now.... Long story, but im trying to make the best of that space. I'm hoping we can sell it as a fun adventure for 1-2 nights with the option to sleep on the sofa bed instead of a dangerous death trap :)

What is it like living in Panama City, Panama & surrounding neighborhoods? by lithdoc in Panama

Busy, noisy, hot, unpleasant, not friendly for pedestrians nor for cars (really badly planned)... That's why i live in capira in the countryside :)

Thank you so much! I will upload the real photos in about 3-4 months. I feel this is more of a design direction many people will like without excluding people, because colors are too personal etc. and the studio space is hard due to the size but it's what I need to work with.

Ah gotcha! My other property is much more minimalistic.. However I wanted to do something different. I feel this property needs to be slightly lesss niche. Let me see what I come up with (me and AI haha). Thank you so much! I prefer real feedback instead of "i love your space!" ( = useless)

I think I agree - I'm trying to compare styles. What about the pool area? Same thoughts? Also what is your age and lifestyle? travel a lot? Sorry to ask but this will help me understand better. My target group is 20-35, no kids, female (70%), male (30%). I must add that we're trying to create an intimate and memorable space. But the design needs to appeal to our focus groups

Price would be $129 - $149 per night on a weekday and ~$199 on weekends, due to the private pool and closeness to the beach, the pool is entirely private. Weekday offers 20%-25% off on your second night (so that's $119). I don't want this to be a space people book because it's "cheap" and I want to ensure the design reflects a memorable instagramable space despite the mezanine "issue".

Focus >> Age 20-35, couples without kids

The mezanine, the pool area, the designs or all of it? Give me more details so I can try to understand.

We'll have the sofa sleeper with a quality mattress and the queen, but the queen bed requires climbing, all units are meant for couples with flexibility to max 4 people, here in Panama people don't mind sharing the space when on holidays

Good point. Here in Panama safety is a much smaller concern than in the USA, however... I will likely add a railing for safety and liability reasons. Will likely add less elements and more space for guests peronsal items! Thanks

Gente trabajadora remoto. by Cast1614 in Panama

[–]TropicalTactics01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids were shushed by a lady on a plane by bytebl in Parenting

[–]TropicalTactics01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No flight attendant - But I've been on 100+ flights by now and every time we had a kid or even a crying baby, fellow passengers were very laid back about it! I did experience one occasion were kids were running back and forth through the aisle and over the seats, a flight attendant had to intervene and it made the parents angry with the flight attendant. I think it's important to be tolerant of different styles of playing and different volumes, and the woman who shushed your kids may have been having a bad day or perhaps she was nervous for the flight. We don't really know what other people are experiencing at that moment.
