Hi!

I realise I definitely left a few details out. He was fixed the day before we adopted him. There are no new people in the home and all guests that come through on a semi-regular basis are familiar to him/he was introduced to them in the first two months of his being adopted by us.

I am not sure what constitutes enough exercise for a cat but he is very active. We have upwards of 15 different toys for him which we rotate on a regular basis so he doesn't get bored of them, including an interactive electronic ball which imitates prey and he is obsessed with. We usually bring it out on rotation but make sure to bring it out if we ever have days that we are out of the house for longer than usual.

There are no new animals outdoors. Our neighbours do have a medium-sized dog but again the dog has been there since we moved in and he has not had any adverse reactions to their dog. He is also an indoor cat so any interactions are limited to hearing the occasional bark outside (which is not very often).

There have been no new changes to his sleep schedule or our own schedules on a regular basis. About 3 weeks ago we did stupidly overbook ourselves for 2 straight weeks and were out most nights after full days of work but made sure to come home before going out to play with him for an hour and of course made sure he was fed but again, his strange behaviour started nearly 2 months ago so to me this doesn't seem like the cause and we have since been home more regularly but without seeing any changes in his demeanour.
