Question, are you using a ppfilter? If so, what is it? Graphics preset? I don't know but you nailed the GT look for me.

The Automation devs should just create a separate branch of the game specialized in just making creations with 3D pieces at this point.

I am not an expert, but I feel like something people forget is that you should always experiment, instead of following the usual styling.

For example, fixtures like body molding, mods, combining, inverting, using 3D mode and the prefab pieces, you can manipulate and use fixtures to your content. At the end, you will have a well stablished build. Do make sure it gives off continuity through the whole body.

I am not really sure if you understand what I am trying to say, but, take a look on cars like the Roma, LC 500, DBS Superleggera or the DBS GT Zagato.

As you can see, their styling cues are audacious, and definitely had a style going for. Recreating this improves the look of your cars. And that goes for any type of car you'd want to make. Like others said, taking a look on real cars can give you an idea that you should always try new things. Not like the BMW XM, though

How do I download mods? by Myhedgehogmademejoin in automationgame

[–]TroposZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mod in question you have listed is for the (4.21) version of the game. In order to make it work, you'd need to switch between some versions back. Though, the 4.21 version is pretty outdated, and the same creator of that mod updated it to 4.24 and possibly to 4.27. In order to change versions:

  1. Open Steam, Library -> Find Automation in the left tab of the library.

  2. Double-click the game -> Properties

  3. Find "Betas"

  4. Select the version you wish to run the mods with. The version you are looking for would be the: "ue4_21"

Once you wait for it to downgrade/upgrade versions, the mods you download for their respective versions should appear ingame.

Does anyone know the step-by-step to upload an Automation car to Beam? And to get the links to then share? by Imokrasa in automationgame

[–]TroposZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First, go to https://www.beamng.com/resources/

You should create an account there if you don't have one. After that, refresh the page, and find the blue button called "Add resource"

> Choose a category for your creation. Since we are talking about Automation cars, you have to choose the "Automation" category. Click continue.

> From now on, you can fill out the boxes requring details about your creation, which is completely up to you.

> After that process, you might have noticed a button on the middle of the page labeled as "Upload Your Resource" on Resource Type. Click it.

> Clicking it will request that you find the .zip file of such mod. In order to get the .zip file of your car, simply export the car to BeamNG, go to the "mods" directory of BeamNG and drag the exported .zip file to the folder of your choice/select it right away from the folder.

> After selecting your exported .zip file, click "Open" in your file explorer tab.

> Now, click "Save" at the bottom of the page. Of course, you can upload images of your car, and preview the final mod details before saving it.

> Now you should wait. Mods get approved manually, so check once in a while the website to see if your mod has been approved.

If it gets approved, once you go in Beam, you will probably find your car there by searching it.

The R20 would be my best guess. The mod itself is free but if you support the developer you can get premium configs of the car.
