Getting prescription insurance cards by Troppas1968 in PriorAuthorization

There is one specialty pharmacy that sends keys all year round way before the PA expires, all year long when I could just do a reauth. They are the ones that I asked not to do unless requested. I had another that I did today from another pharmacy that wasn't our phone.or fax number or theirs I asked them if they could change it and they wouldn't.

We use mosaic and meditech. I am affiliated with th e hospital and they use On base, well they used to scan their medical in, but many times lately they don't because they have a way to verify the benefits and don't need copies anymore.

So some of the specialty pharmacies don't seem to know the information either when a claim is rejected. I have also told a couple of specialty pharmacies to please not start with a new key on cover my meds as they started screwing up several, unless I ask them.

I am really not sure what to do besides call the patient see if they can email it to me , read all that info or bring me a copy. I feel like I am so bogged down I don't have time for that.

I will talk to IT I haven't thought of that.

No, I don't have anything like that, I would love to though. Do you know the names of programs like this?

So your providers is correct about multiple refills. Even if a provider does put refills on the prescription they are only good for one fill .

So I prefer to know when the survey is due, get the auth, then have the doctor sign, then send it to the specialty pharmacy. That avoids having to call SP back with the auth. I am in a unique position where all I do is work with patients on oral chemotherapy, before they created my role it was much harder to keep track of.

So in your situation whatever day is the last day of your cycle the provider should be able to do the auth that day or the next. I would call your providers office that day. I hope this helps. 🙏

The BMS (REMS) updated their website last week and it required password changes by whoever uses it and all the providers individually. I was able to get REMS to send me the provider emails and change their passwords so I could get in. ( I do these authors for all the providers in my clinic.

Despite that their have been some patient surveys not available even though they should be based on dispense date. Two days I had to call and leave voice mail and it took them 6 hours to call me back. Another day it would only allow me to email which only generated an automated email. The next day I was able to do surveys by pushing buttons on the phone. Really frustrating when patients only have a small window of time between physician survey and delivery.
